posting for the funk of it

Got a couple strains going full force now in my setup.
Kintzilla-Cookie (custom bred cookie strain)
Lemon Ice (Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds)

I start vegging under 200watts of T5 with 6500K bulbs until plants start to show good vegetative growth (.5-1"/day). Then I take cuttings from them for next round, and move them over to a separate 200watt T5 chamber running 4500K bulbs to let the plants recover for a week or two before flowering.
Flowering in a 3'x4'x6' chamber with two 315watt CMh Phillips 3100K bulbs in basic winged reflectors. Flower chamber is split into three (logical) parts where 3 plants come out, 3 plants go in, every 3 weeks to produce a perpetual harvest.

Cuttings go into rapid rooters, rapid rooters go straight into 3gal airpots.
3gal airpots are "no-till", I cut the stalk at the base, top dress with compost and plant cover crops (vetch, clover, rye, etc.) after harvest. Throw in a couple worms and let the cover crop get about 12" tall, chop and lay down, reuse pots for next batch of clones...
(this is my goal at least, have not perfected the timing and space constraints but on track to kick some mad ass these next couple cycles!)bongsmilie

End product is very tasty and potent. Slightly annoying leaf and root aphids so I'm hitting everything with SNS 209, and a little neem oil (except for budding plants). Started mixing in some neem meal to new 3gal airpots, and using play sand on the tops to battle the bugs as of last weekend.
Water is 50% rain barrel, 50% tap water.
1/4tsp per gallon epsom salts for cal-mag, recommended base dose of Silica per gallon for overall health, and SNS 209 for systemic pest control all added to my water reservoir. Molasses and guano are used for nutes (higher N for veg, higher P-K for flower). Also mixing in some photosynthesis plus (during veg) & fruit and vegetable yield enhancer (during flower) about once per week to keep the soil thriving. Also keep a worm farm and use the earthworm castings and worm water for compost teas when I think they need it.

Question o_O; what are all y'all's thoughts on this system of perpetual harvest using mainly organics shit. What are the drawbacks of using the bud chamber for plants that are all in different stages of flower.
First pic is the Lemon Ice at week 8/9. Are all these pink, yellow & green hues natural beauty or nutrient deficiency?

Second pic shows what my canopy looks like in this unique setup.

Third pic is the Kintzilla-Cookie coming out of week 9 (10 week strain), again the black, purple, red, and green hues are amazing but is this good? :weed:

This is year 2 of growing for me, but only month 5 of running the CmH bulbs. Pulling ~2 zips per plant on average.

Cheers and Happy Friday bitches!

Nice, I got some Mega Jackpot and Cookies going from AMS. Going to have to get a batch of those Lemons.

For me there are two big drawbacks to having plants at different stages of flowering in one space. One is an inconsist canopy making for inconsistent lighting which doesn't seem to be a problem for you. The other is that when you're running plants at set intervals and completely emptying your flowering space each time pest control is easier.

With a full turn over of the flowering you don't have to worry about cross contamination between spaces and you don't have to worry about having to use different control methods on the plants at different stages of development.

Yea thats rough to do sometimes

I think they are beautiful i love to see a good fade on plants that are ready to.

If it where me i would make a small platform in the center mabey 6 inches high 2x6 with plywood ect .

That way you can elevate the full bloom plants into the light more while the new ones hang out around the edges:)

gahhh those fan leaves have such pretty color to them :grin::shock: Cookies?
That bottom pic is the cookie strain I bred with a random indica dom just to get seeds... then got a female from that and bred her back with the original cookie pollen to eliminate the hermie-ism and nanners. Above that is Lemon Ice weed from ams.

I've tried a few things for height control but getting too close to those cmh 315s and your tops get real crispy and toasted... about pest control yeah, you're spot on. I started pulling them all out every 3 weeks just to clean up and prevent any aphid infestations or pm.

Neem seed meal as a soil amendment will help keep bugs away but it only works well against leaf munchers. They gotta suck your plants first to ingest the neem and then they die. I found adding diatomaceous earth as well will get rid of most soil bugs forever. It's like a one two punch against aphids and gnats which I battled for awhile. Plus DE is a good source of silica when it breaks down.
I run an organic perpetual grow but I do it SOG style with plants from seed. I find it is easier to keep the canopy even if you grow the plants small and untrained & just have lots of them. Those fall colors are natural; some gorgeous plants you got there.
