Phresh Hyper Fan Climate Control

So I just stumbled across this unit:

I had planned to make something like this; when temp went above 75 power to fan would be cut, speed control circuit removed power back to fan so full speed. Complicated because it says to not plug or unplug speed control when fan plugged in. This unit looks to adjust speed to regulate temp. Assuming $100, sort of expensive but would be nice addition to my setup.

Anyone have one?

Avnewb, mine seems to forget the minimum speed setting instantly after setting it?
If it's cold, it will slow down lower than the minimum speed, right down. Like at night.
I can twist the minimum speed knob, like changing it from 80 to 81, and it 'wakes up' and speeds it up to 81.
Then it immediately starts slowing down again.
Wtf?

Ya mine failed too. Had to put it back on normal speed controller as house stunk up when it kept dropping to super slow speed. JUNK...

Worked when I bought it but same thing happened to me @GreenLogician it failed. Set min speed and it will speed up when you move it then go back down to min speed as if were set to ~0. I just put a ticket in on mine.
I actually asked them about this back before it existed. Being that it is a digital controller I am not sure what failed. Also there was something in litirature about having to unplug power to fan before unplugging speed controller so making a controller that switched between two speeds was not going to work but I think it would as I have unplugged speed controller and thing did not explode. IDK. With winter coming back I would like to have this working again as it helped with controlling temps but not sure.

If only it had a humidity control on it also. I love my hyperfans. I have 3 in my room, in, out, and scrub. With all three on (different setting on each) and a UV-C light (turns on with scrubber), they only pull around 150 watts.

im working with a 3x3 tent and an 8inch hyperfan along with 4 quantum boards and a few 30w fans for circulation.
I picked up one of these https://www.sunlightsupply.com/shop/product/sentinel-gps-bhc-1a-basic-humidity-controllers
and now have my hyperfan plugged into it. so now my humidity is under control. so long as the ambient humidity is low
if ambient humidity is high no controller will lower it below ambient. only a dehumidifier will do that.

Been using a titan fan controller

Looks and feels cheap but it works so far.

Although i get an annoying hmm at low speed
Dont know if this could be cured with a variac or not

with the hyperfan and its own variable speed controller i get no humming and i keep the speed set below 35%

My new one has been working. For how long it took i hope they resolved issue. Thinking was just some bad component that failed as it worked when i initially got it.

I do t think so. Only looked brefiely but assume analog controller so Certainly would not work on digital fan like this.

what was the issue? Mines never had a problem..


Edit: I jumped in to early without reading the thread..im talking about the speed controller not the climate controller.

ditto mine worked for me
I have an 8inch and use the included speed controller turned down to 30% power plugged in to a humidity controller to maintain a certain humidity during lights on and lights out.
50-60% in veg 40-50% early flower 30% late flower.

what you need is a mini split with a smart thermostat.
