Lucas formula in veg vegetative

I am finding that many people tweak the lucas formula during veg for the reason alot are saying it isnt the best because of the npk ratio not having enough nitrogen and too much phosphorus (again, this is only regarding vegetative stage).

A popular method is the latewood formula witch is equal amounts of grow, micro, bloom.

another one I heard from is using 0-grow 2-micro 1-bloom( witch came from swerve at thcfarmer.com who owns cali connection seeds witch has best og kush strains known to man and he is the official king of growing og kush)

I was thinking of trying 0-grow 1-micro 1-bloom this is my theory;

G M B
latewood ratio; 1-1-1 (equal parts) NPK= 7-6-11(NPK ratio is roughly 1-1-2 ish)

-----------------------------------------------------
lucas ratio; 0-1-2 NPK= 5-10-9 (NPK ratio is roughly 1-2-2 ish)

-----------------------------------------------------
swerve ratio; 0-2-1 (like lucas but the ratios of micro and bloom are switched)
NPK= 10-5-6 (NPK ratio is roughly 2-1-1 ish)

MY IDEA ratio; 0-1-1 (It's meeting halfway between swerves 0-2-1 and lucas' 0-1-2) and the npk= 5-5-5(perfectly equal amount of NPK)

this 1-1-1 NPK equal ratio meets latewoods 1-1-2 and swerves 2-1-1

this Idea seems to meet these theory's halfway. Im sure ill get alot of people saying "try all of them and see whats best" but I try to see it as im not reinventing the wheel, others may have tried this and could let me know how it works or tell me if its worth trying because maybe my theory is off.

or maybe you guys could tell me im overthinking things too much and this isnt rocket science

any help or suggestions with this idea would be 700% appreciated! thanks guys!

I see no reason to use the Lucas formula during vegetative. I usually go with 1-2-.5. I use the .5 phosphorus because I don't want a huge root mass til I start budding. Once I start budding, I do the 1-2-3 formula for about a week or ten days then go into the lucas formula at 1300 ppm for the rest of the flowering stage.

anyone have any recent thoughts on this? actually sounds like a decent idea

i use a modified lucas. 5 gallons of water. 3.25tbsp bloom. 1.25 micro. 5 grams epsom. same thing from birth to death. no problems unless the ph swings. veg, flower, clone, seedling. dont matter

how'd you come to that formula, just messing around trying different stuff?

from what i read, lucas or h3ad, adjusts it for veg and flower. a bit less on the micro and more on bloom for flower (i think) have some measuring shot glasses and screwed up and did the formula i posted above. kept doing it and never looked back. i use to use calimag, but it is expensive so i use epsom salt. measure out 5 grams per 5 gallons (1g per gallon) and it needs to be measured cuz the salt chunks are different sizes. my tap water is 7.1 and using the formula above, it takes it to 6.0 everytime. it was designed for RO water or something, but i use tap and have no problems. of course i have a giant bubbling tank for my water to bubble all the shit out.

i should state that i'm in coco coir

ohh ok i gotcha yeah i heard of another really popular way to use micro and bloom is 6ml bloom, 9ml bloom from seed to finish with only adding a flower booster at the end. I'm thinking about buying flora series tomorrow because maxi has only been giving me problems

yes its 6/9 but mine is adjusted. i have ran that 6/9 for awhile with no problems other than some mag deficiency but that was taken care of by epsom. i dont add flower booster. i'm kinda old school in the thought that all that shit is to make money and not do shit....kinda like pre-workout supplements. some work, most dont. my thoughts on all the extra crap. maybe it works, but i'm not gonna find out. my way works so why change it up

ok....and? does that mean it doesnt work for me since i'm in coco?? no it doesnt. if you cared to read you'd see that i said MODIFIED

yeah theres definitely a lot of snake-oil type shit out there, I'm glad the only thing i can say i might have wasted money on was the maxibloom/gro which was 25 bucks combined. i think with the NPK ration maxibloom would be perfect for flower but for veg, not so much... just nonstop problems. i figured maxigro could be the ultimate KISS method but i guess i was wrong. my plants are a month and a half old and not even a foot talll so something obviously has to change. i was to try a 3-1-2 ratio but I'm trying to figure out what nutes/ratios i can put together to do that

well i'm speaking up. just "because" something is for something else doesnt mean it cant work. get the fuck off here troll
