Best way to transport water stealthy?

I plan to do it in the night or in the evening. I will park my car near my entrance of the house and then load the two canisters (8 gallon/ 30 liter) into the car. Then I will drive to the other building and drive close to it and unload the stuff, but listen to if there are some cars around. (Road isnot often used by someone as it is countryside). I will unload the two full canisters and load up two empty ones and then drive back. Filling up the water etc... I will do at day time when I am there and got more time. I don't want to be around at night time so much and draw any attention.

I know you can act weird if you act paranoid. So I dont want that to happen.
I was thinking about putting them in a cardboard box. I just wondered if the box will be strong enough. Also I dont want any water sloshing around. Because if I carry a box which makes that sounds, would be weird.

Unfortunately the building is not the home, but it has a bath room. So if there are questions, I could tell that I need water for the bathroom there. But what worries me a bit is that if I go there ten days in a row every evening , filling up 60 liters. Somebody might get suspicious about that.

Fixing the well would be cool. But costs a couple grand. And the owner is a bit particular.

Do you rent? If so the owner has to be able to provide the rental with running water and keep it accessible. It’s expensive yes I had a new well drilled a few years ago for my fields. But to have a new pump or pressure tank isn’t so bad. I’d get the owner to fix the well or move.

Is there any access point into the house that is not visible to the neighbors? And it doesn’t sound like you live there being no running water? Pretty much everything will look suspicious if you only show up to take heavy containers in and bring them out empty especially if at odd hours. Why not just have a hose in the yard laying on the ground and going to the back or side of house not visible to others. Then back your car as close to house as you can in a manner that blocks veiw of trunk or hatch or whatever but still look normal and just siphon with hose into another container near or at entry not visible like a back door.

Or put some aquarium and fish decals all over you vehicle and an old retired fish tank and stuff on your front porch and get a “I love fish” tattoo

Or just become the guy who always carries a gallon jug of water when he leaves the house

They wont know its empty everytime you leave the house and full everytime you return.

Could work for a small amount at least

:-D It is a private industrial building. Water is not drilled yet. Road is not frequented that much. I will be able to do it so nobody sees that I am carrying water into it. I just need to time it right. I was just gathering some additional ideas. ;-)

Well is ther not an overhead door you could just pull your vehicle into? And I would also collect the rain water off the roof in one of those big 300gal containers in a crate.

MMG got you on the right path..

Hell son, the Rolling Stones sang about it! "Under cover of the night."

Shine haulers. Do run some interesting 12v pump systems and use things like Truck bed fuel tanks and towed liquid fert sprayers as their incognito carrying units.
You could use a garden hose with a spreader head and a valve. In the car, a power converter and a 110v pump might work well too.

But night time is where it's at.....

Yeah, that's immediately where my mind went. Pick up a IBC tote and rig a rain collection system. It's April already so you'd likely need to get it setup ASAP to get in on prime rainy season, if your climate is kinda like mine.

That's another good idea. I think the trick is to stop trying to hide it quite so much. It's been my experience that more normal you make things the less publicity folks give you. Someone who "looks" like their doing something out of the norm is sure to get folks to stop and watch.

Conversely, "that's ol' Jim. He shows up everyday or two to put in a few hours of work over there. Quiet guy, but he's as regular as the rain".

Be like fictional Jim.
