Say no more, I get the picture...Ok this is going to be a ramble , probly fragmented and misspelled so if your in a hurry scroll down..... I did some gardening last year and dived in the led tech without any knowledge really. I ran 4 x Mars 300s in a 39"x39".( they were cheap) It did what it needed to but my plants were stretchy, thin leafed, and I had to stake every single stem, the plants fell over from watering until week 4, not to mention dealing with heat issues as those bitches ran hot and they are red , white and blue lights only. Mission completed but definitely left me feeling I got 30 -40% potential. Lesson learned. Racked my brain for weeks on end whether to go Cobb, q boards, cmh ( all good options) or what next round. Talked to a bud out west he told me about an led he loves. It's an Agroled, Its Chinese made but he swears it's better than Kind LEDs. I'm like yeah.. ok bro. I can't find shit on the net about these lights except some hydro stores carry them and they are not cheap. I go to a store and check one out. Ok..this thing is built like a tank and makes Mars look like alpo cans, seriously. 8 fans, huge heat sinks and runs quiet and puts out zero heat. So I spend the capitol and pick one up the 576 full spectrum which runs 330 from the wall.. Now... my plants have thick stems, the leaves are huge and thick, tight node spacing and my tent hovers at 77 degrees no matter what.. it's like night and day.. I am not a rep for these guys but what a difference a quality light makes over those cheap imports. They get it done but you will be left with a sub par result. Ramble over.
What's the best cob for a 2x2x3 tent with 3-4 plants?and there are a lot better options than this light for that
There should be more people like you in the world... It's sad that there aren't... Thanks dude for the help,it will come back to you!!!You can go with 4 citizen 1212 and run them around 50w and that would cover that area pretty nicely. Cobkits.com has a good selection of citizen Cobs or you could bump it up to the 1818s if you wanted more light and dim them down. Most people aim for around 30-40w per sq ft. They also have some prebuilt cob lights there. But I'd you want to save some money you could definitely make your own just buy the light, holder, and heatsink and a driver to run them all.
If you have any questions picking a driver or which cob there are plenty of people to help.
Also the Vero 29s are a really nice COB and you can run them about 100w each. You can find them at https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/bridgelux/BXRC-30G10K0-C-73-SE/976-1584-ND/6557086

Considering my results, I disagree. You have used them before? I would definitely like to see pics of your results and specifications why I got ripped off. Thanks in advance. You got ripped off hard bud
4 citizen 1212s at 35W would work well in that space, efficient and economical. you can buy something like that from timber of build it from parts for less. depends on your skills. end result is the sameWhat's the best cob for a 2x2x3 tent with 3-4 plants?
thats impossibleOk..this thing is built like a tank and makes Mars look like alpo cans, seriously. 8 fans, huge heat sinks and runs quiet and puts out zero heat.
Because you can buy a much more efficient light than that thing for the same price. AKA one that outputs a lot more light using the same power for the same price. 130 lumens/w for 5000k 70cri is bad. They dont even want to list the umol/joule output for that light because they know it sucks.Considering my results, I disagree. You have used them before? My point of my post was to agree that Mars hydro sucks and there is better options out there. I gave my light as an example of something better. Is it the best, probly not but it works for me and that's all that matters.Because you can buy a much more efficient light than that thing for the same price. You're missing the entire point of this thread. ANY light can grow weed, and I agree that light is better than marshydro, but hardly so. I've personally grown rock hard buds, tight internode plants, with thick beefy leaves/stems under marshydro. Yet I would never recommend buying one.
So let's break it down, unless you owned one or had experience with this light, your talking out of your ass and my debate with you is over.Man ...I love all you guys throwing your input around as gospel. Saying its impossible is the same as calling me a liar. DO YOU OWN A AGROLED 576? My guess is no ,but due to your infinite knowledge you can correct me. This light runs at 60% and due to the cooling system its puts out no heat . It is barely warm after running 18 hours straight. I have one...I use one.. I know wtf I'm talking about . If you put your hands on the lights themselves the feel warm but not enough to put off and real heat threat to my tent.
im not calling you a liar, just uninformed. What i say isnt "gospel" but it is accepted as factMan ...I love all you guys throwing your input around as gospel. Saying its impossible is the same as calling me a liar.
so where does the other 40% go?This light runs at 60% and due to the cooling system its puts out no heat

Lmao..thank you, that statement wraps up. You just made my day champ. You sell Cobb kits = certified genius! Come by my place I show you all the proof you need. Now politely fuck off.
Then why does it need as much cooling as you say it does? All it means is the cooling in the fitting is more efficient but that energy is still going somewhere.Man ...I love all you guys throwing your input around as gospel.
