I use a few of those for me depends on the plant,I do some super cropping and mostly fimming ,I will top if I have too,but fimming takes around same time period as topping about 2 weeks ,so I fimming mostly I have a strawberry cough/sour diesel you see on my profile pic,it has 25-30 main kola buds ,and tons of small buds filing in the top,I get reasonable results,just took a bruce lee plant down got 38 ounces wet off it,so I guess I will say fimming and super cropping work best for me ,pic is of the strawberry diesel

I've got a Jack Herer mother plant going and took clones from her. Lst in a spiral pattern and vegged about 4 weeks and got 23 and 25 grams from the 2 plants. Then I topped another clone after about the 5th node and tied the branches down to side of planter. Vegged for 3 weeks and got 47 grams from her.

If time is not a factor, scrog is the undisputed champ. The only thing that beats a well executed scrog is SOG. But I don't consider sog a 'training method', just a shitload of plants with a quick turn around time.

Over a year scrogs are the least productive.

Sog or topping once are the quickests ways to produce a canopy thats ready to flower.

These two methods are the most used by non legal growers here.

Ive grown standard indoor trees and scrog.

I still havent beat my best tree session in scrog. However I blame me.
Im still trying.

I want to try a sog very badly but im a pussy about my plant count.

Either way I always top n lst n all that shit early on. Whatever it takes.

I first fim my plants ...hoping for 4 ..but it's OK if not.....I then begin lsting them early ..like after the 3d node....then I just top and keep lsting till I get them outside and bug enough to cage....I top and fim my ass off after that..w a good healthy plant u can top and not bother it much ..but the absolute best way is lsting imo...it's kinda weird at first but when u see all tthose side branches shooting up and looking like u have a plant u topped like crazy you'll love it...I don't supercrop or anything else personally...not knocking it ...but once those side branches shoot up I just think of how many other tops I can bend over again and make the best bush..and I top or fim accordingly...you could prob only top or fim once ..not even tbh..and still make one hell of a bush if u bend and spread out the plant the right way...I think the key to starting a good lst like I prefer Is to start early..def by the 3d node..I'll never change unless I'm growing indoors and even then under certain circumstances I'd use the method like I described...what is your grow gonna be like ...like in or out..size of everything

And btw..I am a firm believer that you shouldn't take Any leaves off unless they are dieing...and maybe..just maybe if u need some airflow in big tree..but even then I still think u should just bend the branches to air it out...the only way I would take off leaves is if I lollipop it..and just the bottom branches....I would rather cut off whole branches along the bottom that cut off leaves ...

I hear you on not taking off any leaves. I never trim a single leaf. Leaves are the power plants of the plant. I follow that same logic by supercroping instead of topping. It promotes lower branching just as well, doesn't slow the plant down, and leaves the top to form a cola. Supercropping works very good.

Iv never really did it on my own plants..I have watched and done it in a friends indoor plants ..he loves it..and tbh I don't really ever see any stress outa topping my plants ..I always have healthy plants and I make sure I give them time in-between topping..I also like to foliar feed them after topping..I usually make a spray outa aloe and a couple other things but I spray them separately...the aloe works well imo...and iv had this fight w a lot of ppl.. especially on here...it makes no sense to me at all to remove leaves...idc what excuse u use...unless they are about to fall off...that's it....I think it is much better to remove lower branches to keep larf away and send nutes toward the bigger buds ...but iv never seen a logical excuse for removing leaves...well...I take that back...I sometimes remove some leaves before chopping to help with mess lol..but that's diff

That's the main thing..iv seen ppl say they hated lst but they never done it properly ..they usually either don't top and let it get big..or they top and do the same..then just bend the whole plant over..which will work ..kinda..but a good lst begins when you're still in your gal pot...imo...and u gotta have a lil imagination to see where u would want the branches going ....once u get all that together with the fim and topping combo you're golden
