What do you mean?Drill .25inch holes every 2 inches in the auto pots for the win.
Okey, yeah I've seen airpots being used with coco and they work great. I could just use airpots in a tray with an aquavalve. Then i would had the best of both of themNext round when you're putting up the new ladies.. take a drill and make holes. This will give you the air pot effect. I did mine whilst in the tray so as not to go to low... Make a nice band around the mid section...
I have confidence in you,I'm sure you will work it out!!!Seems like i need to change base-nutrients as they don't perform correct. Calcium, magnesium and phosphorus is weak. Calcium and magnesium is something that needs to be added extra when growing in coco but phosphorus is a such important nutrient that my plants shouldn't suffer from a deficiency of it, at least not in stretch. A good quality base-food should be able to take your plants into full bloom without problem, not slow them down as soon as they show pistols, because then there is something wrong.
I have noticied this before aswell but I've been scared to try something new, as i have had pretty decent yields with the nutrients i have used. Now i know i could do better if the ratios were correct. Will look around and see what kind of nutrients that may be good for me.
What was the brand base you were using that you weren't quite happy with?Seems like i need to change base-nutrients as they don't perform correct. Calcium, magnesium and phosphorus is weak. It was Gold Labels base-nutrients. Sure, you could grow plants with it. I could, but thats because i have always used ANs additives as they do what they are suppose to do.What was the brand base you were using that you weren't quite happy with?
I saw your grow, and i think you are doing greatI tell ya, Homie and Wisher turned me on to those Botanicare nutes and I really like them!
Thats a wrong guess, but it was a good try.Northern Lights
Thanks @SheldonCooper . Ph was an enemy of mine at the start, but I’m getting the hang of it! Once I’m able to get the amount of nutes figured out for each plant as I go, I think that will help too; seems as if my feeding strength is either just a touch too little or just a touch too much. Final issue I have to learn is just when and how much to raise and lower my LED lights :-/I saw your grow, and i think you are doing great
I have some time until harvest so i won't stress any purchases but i have looked into ANs connoisseur, it seems very interesting and i have seen a lot of people getting good yields with it, it's also ph-perfect. I'm open minded but that's what I'm aiming for now.
Those are just minor stuffs to learn, if you spending more time looking at them then it will be easier. Thanks @SheldonCooper . Ph was an enemy of mine at the start, but I’m getting the hang of it! I always go back and forth depending on medium...but lately I been sticking with Canna Coco A&B and Canna Substra for my rockwool drip to waste slabs. Just the bases. It's fairly cheap and foolproof if you don't get into the additives they sell. And rock solid pH buffers as well. When I refill and reset my drip to waste tanks (4 35 gallon Wal-Mart trashcan reservoirs)...I set my EC strength and pH to about 5.7 ish. And it rises (tap water hardness buffers/calcium carbonates) no higher than 6.1 just before they are empty and need another refill and reset. About a week or so.It was Gold Labels base-nutrients. Speaking of problems...I just went downstairs and checked on my ladies. One kush plant in the back corner (always them back corner plants huh?) was wilted and bone dry pot of coco. Blocked frikin dripper..again. I quickly grabbed a gallon pitcher and manually poured it into the bone dry pot with the green led head lamp lights off. I used to freak the fuk out over this shit but...nothing I can do about it. Shit happens. If she makes it..still has wispy early buds compared to the rest of the crop which is jamming. Just wasted money and time basically. Oh well. Forward we grow. This isn't my first rodeo. Been here and I Am staying. In the trenches. Life of a solid bonafide grower.Good friday evening.
Canna has been around for a while, and basicly what i know about them is that they are cheap and that many people using them.
Thanks for sharing your experience with them, a raise of 0.4 of the ph in 1 week is very good, then you also maxing the uptake of all the nutrients as you get the full range. I will look into them after this post and see what they have to offer and read some reviews.
Like i said, im open for inspiration and ideas but a change is a must for next grow.
To speak about refilling tanks, i refilled my tank today and with the small area i have to manoeuvre within i had a minor accident.
I have been looking at one of the fans a couple of times and thinking that one day it will fall over the girls, and today it did! Not any bigger problems but i had to pull 4-5 branches
Yeah, wilted plants is terrible to get, i see that something is wrong with my peripheral vision and i know even before i have looked that way thats something is wrong. Growing weed is hard work, if you want it good, but you sure know all about it.Speaking of problems...I just went downstairs and checked on my ladies.
