not sure how i'm gonna go about it yet - gonna gather more info about it before i jump into itYour just sticking the cut in dirt/soil?
yea, i plan on defoliating, & hasnt stayed out of water for more then 10 seconds since the cutI'd just do PH'd water the first week.
Maybe CaMg if your using RO water. Maybe a very light dosage of a rooting booster or vitamin.
Once you notice any yellowing, then you can definitely start giving 1/4 or 1/8th strength nutrients. You could start with very light nutrients, but it's not necessary and you risk burning them.
...Remember they need N leached to help focus on growing roots. (that would be prior to taking the cut.)
I hope you did something right away with that cut, like put it in a medium (water/soil) after you took that picture. And will you be defoliating it at all? That extra foliage is not needed.
I don't have the fans whipping on the plants too much, would it be fine if i did put it straight into soil?If you are stuffing it straight into soil
Are going to rig a humidity dome from a plastic bottle with the bottom cut out or something? Ziploc bag tent?
I ask because I have tried it before and in the room I had fans whipping the air
For my main plants and without a dome it didn't work
Honestly, I use peat pellets, or my cloner etc.I don't have the fans whipping on the plants too much, would it be fine if i did put it straight into soil?
well, going into this i had/still have no idea what i'm doing, i just know the basic idea of cloning. i knew it'd be something like that, i don't have a solid plan yetHonestly, I use peat pellets, or my cloner etc.
Stuffing it in the soil would be my last choice but you can make it work.
What was your original plan?
Well, now ya do. Lolwell, going into this i had/still have no idea what i'm doing, i just know the basic idea of cloning. i knew it'd be something like that, i don't have a solid plan yet
stick in a cup of water by the window. it will get roots eventually. trim half the bud sights off and let it sit there. it will die sitting in just soil
Cut the bottom branches leaves off to the stem, cut the top leaves all in half, you can use clonex gel and put it right in a rapid rooter in a hydro dome or under a two liter cut in half some clear plastic bottle anyway keep it moist but not drowning, if you use your soil/rooter plug, in hydro just leave it in water and use a little tiny bit of clonex nutrient solution once you get roots never needed anything but the gel in the plugs until I had a decent set of roots and watch her grow I hardly fail doing it this way lots of ways to skin that cat though.recently i topped one of my plants and found what would be a really nice clone, i'm getting the potting soil ready, can i feed her nutes right away? or should i do reg phd water first.
