Greengenes Etc, banned from youtube! I knew this was coming and that posting videos on youtube was a bad idea. Youtube is banning cannabis videos! Article on leafy about it! Join Theweedtube.com, BOYCOTT YOUTUBE!

Just checked the website. They need some design tweaks and, more importantly, a mobile app. But here's hoping they make a success of it.

Fucking youtube turning into a trashhole.

They even had someone shoot up their headoffice because the shooter's videos were being censored, you'd think youtube would reavaluate their policies after that but naaaaah.

Yeah Youtube has become a fucking DIY makeup / Foodie / pimple popping hellhole .

Used to watch Pigeon 420 vids and that disappeared....

Fuck youtube

( BTW i still watch TN4P - love the sharter vids )

Would you send me a pm? got a question

Many thanks to @robincnn and @Stephenj37826 for helping me upgrade my old slates to new ones. I purchased my boards last year in August and back then we were supplied with Slate 1.

Slate 1 is on the left and blue, new slate on the right

Hey guys so another question. This time about 2 QB324's I have.

So I ordered the wrong driver for the boards. I ordered a 320h-c2100a, found out it doesn't have enough voltage to run the boards in series. So I wired them parallel. But now in splitting the current to each board.
The 320h-c1400a has the voltage I'd need.
But their site says the boards are rated at 108+VDC, 2400mA max current.
And each board has a max of 250w but the sink holds it back to 160w each.

So my question is instead of getting the 320h could I get a 480h in either the 1750 or 2100 mA to get more out of the boards and use a fan to cool the sinks?
Thanks all.

I got my 324 boards up and running yesterday with the 320h-c1400a and there running at 320w. I have a fan blowing over them and there just warm to touch. There pretty bright at 160w each, started them at 36" off the tops of the plants. So I'd say you should be able to run them upwards of +200w each with fans on each board but make sure you got high enough ceilings to deal with the intensity.

Why run them so hard? I have 4 running at 85 watts per board and it works fine. If you need more than that, ad a couple boards. 2 on that C2100 would be great at about 120 watts per board

Well based on the 108 V rating on HLG site.
I multiplied 108x1.750 and get bout 190w. Then 108x2.1and get bout 227w.
I know the voltage will vary slightly, but is my math right?

I wanted to be able to take advantage of the boards full potential.

I also thought about a 480h-c1400a and being able to add a third board down the road.

Why get qb324s if you’re only going to run them at 85w? I mean it’s more efficient on a lumens/Watts basis, but you’d need ~6 qb324s in a 4x4 if you ran them that low. That’s a big up front investment and a lot of lights for the floor space.

Put 8 of the QB132 run at 60 watts per.....Spread them photons !! No heat sinks needed...

Just seems kinda handicapped if you are building for " straight power " versus dimmable power option .... Where you can build the power in but run at the most efficient .

About 60ish watts per ... is kind of the " sweet spot " ( and still grow the shit out your girls ) , but you got to know that as bright as these are , tempering them to SUIT the plants response is more important . Many , including myself have the power on tap , just may not need a "Supernova " inside a tent.

Quantums are the Lego blocks of growing light systems .... I have 13 boards on hand in different rigs plus 2 unbuilt. Sure I could make a set of 3 4 panel monsters if I pulled all panels and rebuilt them , but what for ?

In open space hanging ... Sure the more the merrier but for enclosed closet , tents and spaces , you got be able to throttle down. These little panels WILL bleach and stress the fuck out your plants if you are not careful.

It seems a lot of new growers ( moving from other lights ) think you gotta keep using a 1000w like their old cool tube. There are guys here destroying grows with just 260w dual Quantums -

I say keep some power in " pocket " for use as necessary ( which might not be that often ) as these are making harvests look epic with more constrained power.

My 2¢ .....

Alaskan Thunderfuck ( update )

Quantums grow males ........ Lol.

Just kidding ... Picked up a 5 pack of ATF and it just so happened it was a male that was popped first ....

Continued to grow him out to harvest pollen pods. Strong young buck of a plant ......
Some of the male nuts have begun to split so I grabbed some tweezers and plucked carefully ( in another room ) ... And set on a mirror temporarily to DRY them out.

Once they are dried , I will rub them thru a 150 mesh screen ( set on a rack ) over another mirror , then scrape pollen and container it up. I don't need to keep any longer than I plan to use so it will be used within a couple weeks.

I only need 1 male at a time , and only if I plan to make seeds. If I am not chucking pollen then they would have culled them long ago. I already have more seeds than I need from various sources and breeders .... So these are basically testers just to play with.
But I am space restricted so no need to have any more around.

The GG4 I pollinated from a selfed female. So hopefully I get the BDXGG4 cross , I just threw together. ( Blue Dream X Gorilla Glue ) - called Blue Gorila / Blue Glue .

Anyways.....

This one will be a straight male to female seed run ..... Not sure what I will DUST next.
I am growing a Bomb Seeds Cherry Bomb auto and a BX1 auto ( Berry 47 X Deep Sea Creature Auto ) but they are early seedling / veg. I guess I could store in freezer if I need to.

We will se what happens .....
