Seedling leaf dying.

They've had it a little rough. I was adding coffee grounds and epsom salt to avoid nutrient efficiency but realized they were too young so stopped over a week ago. Any idea what the problem may be? One of the leaves is dying with yellow color and brown dead tip. Thanks!

Hey man, old growth dying means the plant needs some nutrition, it's robbing energy from the old to feed the new.
I don't believe coffee grounds and Epsom salt is a good nutrient solution. You may want to try sine miracle grow to start. Good luck!

You should study up on different soil choices to start a seedling in a small pot and then transplanting into a soil for the next stage. A good choice for a beginner is a bag of fox farm light warrior for the seedling and then transplanting to something like fox farm ocean forest for the next stage. Doing it this way you won't need to worry about fertilizers for the 1st month or so.
If you are going to grow in soil, a quality soil from the start will make a huge difference.

Just get some potting MIX, not soil. After a couple weeks you can repot into soil if you like or just run em in the mix adding all nutes yourself. If you are using tap water it is almost a guarantee that it is at least a 7 pH, add a tsp of concentrate lemon juice to drop the pH a couple tenths of a point.
