1st Grow - 260W QB - 4x2 - Speed Bud 3 Autos + Auto Cheese

This is my 1st grow.

I am going to update this almost every day.


Seeds : Speed bud autoflowering strains from femaleseeds (Purchased from seedsman)

Set up :

Medium :Composted Soil mix from the local store
Tent :4x2
Light : HLG 260W Quantum Board (Will be using for all cycle Seeding - Veg - Flower)
2 Fans + Ipower 6inch Exhaust fan

I live in a hot country. (around 30- 31C) So i use a A/C - (inverter air conditioner ) Yeah i know it costs.But what to do.


Goal : Least 200Grams from 3 plants.


Note : As i heard this speed bud is super duper fast growing.This is the reason i purchased this.


Day 1 24/04

Put 3 seeds in to water glass and left for 12 - 15 hours. After 3 seeds sinks i plant directly to soil. 1 - 0.5 inches deep. -


I turned on A/C and set it to 29C.

So temp around 28C - 30C all the day. RH 50% - 70%
Lights on 24H at 2.5ft distance


Day 2 24/04

Nothing sprouted yet
2 pots moisten and 1 pot little dry(still moist). So i put water little.

Hopefully waiting!.

I am kinda worrying cause still i don't see nothing. I hope it will come up tomorrow.

For now it's completed 48hours .

All of them are happy. I spray little bit water time to time

Hi ,

No i won't give up never. Cause i have spent over $3000 (including for A/C) and i have to cut back my stash 1-2grams cost


I didn't get much to update.


It's seeding 5th day here. (i thought to update after 7 days anyway here is newest updates)

Cheese : - Seems shes growing faster than those so called Female seeds Speed buds. Got total 6 leaves

Speed bud 1 - I guess shes fairly big...But not as Cheese Auto. Got 6 leaves as well. But not bigger like cheese.

Speed bud 2 - i am really worrying about her. Shes bit slow and yet 4 leafs. Not big as cheese nor speed bud 1.


2*4 Grow tent temp as usual : 27 - 29C RH 55% - 75%

Watering after 1inch dry (normally everyday cause A/C makes soil kinda dry)

Light 260W HLG QB @ 2feet distance

My main goal is to grow faster speed bud (her life spam as breeder said 35 - 40 days seed to harvest) But seems cheeese is faster than speed bud.


Will see. Even my light is enough to flowering (260W HLG QB which means 1sq 31W) i purchased cheap 100W burple light as well. It\s on the way.

Still i am opening tent zipper half to ventilate air as my 6inch inline duct and carbon filter on the way.


I will update pictures as still i don't know how to upload pictures...i am non tech guy.

Day 5 - Breaking update

Added all images for day 5.

I notice speed bud leaves curl little bit up. I am not sure why. I hope my RIU friends will help./.For me it's like heat stress. So I increased the A/C and managed to 27 - 28C and 60RH%.

Since i did not get my duct fan yet i change that pot location for a better environment. I hope i can get my induct fan tomorrow. Hopefully

Your soil is too dense , you should add some peat or coco coir depending what is available, or perlite to aerate the soil

Hi , Yes I was thinking about it. But problem is my local store doesn't know what is perlite.

It's purchased compost soil and it's already contained coco dust + compost + sand + soil. I even worrying about sand but thats the oly available ready made soil which i could buy.

Day 6

Cheese - Looking healthy and growing hard
Speed bud 1 - Like yesterday still have up curled leae (Can anyone here here )
Speed bud 2 - NO grow at all


Today i am going to have a shop around to find a solution for SOIL. Meantime i am going to fix inline duct fan as well.

Hopfully everything will be fine. Appriciate RIU friends advice.

I'm going to be completely honest, i never have used anything but coco for grows and don't see alot of problems. Naturally good against pests and for nutes, i go simple with tap water, GH Bloom and Mocro with CalMag as well. I stay as simple as possible. What i can say is Growweeedeasy.com has a gteat section with pics on pests and plants colors/shapes of bad leaves/stems/ roots and how to fix/stay away from. I'd check that asap.

Agreed on the growweedeasy.com for troubleshooting plant problems, super helpful website

Your soil does look a little dense, and a little damp. I let my soil dry out almost completely before watering again. Not sure where your located, but might want to check online if your local options are limited.

And finally, growth rate in vegetative stage doesn't mean much for finishing time. That little plant lagging behind may end up finishing first anyways. It may just not grow as big as the cheese at all, especially if the breeder claims it will finish that fast.

Anyways, overall the plants look pretty healthy. I'm subbed!

Yeah, good point as i know soil can be let to dry ourlt a bit between waterings. Coco can't dry out too much due to salt buildups.

I wouldn't add the 100w blurple light if your already running hot. Besides, you don't need more light than the 260w QB kit.

I assume your running lights on at night and off during the hottest part of the day?

Post a pic of your tent showing the whole picture if possible. Might be able to tweak it some to get temps down further.

I would also water less, especially with the plant that is lagging behind.

DAY 8 UPDATE

I got my 6inch inline duct fan few days ago. I fixed it and now i don't experience any hot issues. I can control my climate as i am running on a A/C.

I keep my temp around 27 - 28C Humidity 55 - 70RH

Cheese - It's growing growing growing I really like it .

Speed bud 1 still looks same little bit grow.

Speed bud 2 - Ah same size. No grow at all.

I also plant another speed bud seed into soil. Cause i don't keep much hope on speed bud too (the little girl).

I didnt water for last 2 days and soil is dry.

Will update with pics tomorrow

I purchased cheap 100w burple called derlite from ebay. Now i don't have any host issues as i got my duct fan and now its fixed. So i guess i can put that light on flowering periods right I really care about my babys as this is my 1st time.

Do you think that i have to check water PH as well ? I don't see any PH signs on my babys. I got my ph tester as well. But i didn't check.Also if the PH is up or down i am not sure how i am going to face as i am unable to import fertilizers or lequids or there is not local store

I got different soil product. I planted new speed bud in that. I coult find coco dust here. So i mixed them as well . Can i mix coco dust to my other plants as well ? or just leave as they are on pot ?

I just sprayed some water. But not much.

I seen some burn (somthing like nutriend burn but i use just normal compost soil) on speed bud small girl.

BTW here all pictures.

Speed Bud 2 small girl... I have doubt about light burn (my light 2.3ft up) can anyone help me to diagnose it that would be great.

DAY 9 UPDATE

Cheese: I transplanted cheese to new pot. 5 Galloon. Compost organic soil + coco dust (similar to coco chips but this is dust) Now soil is soft .


Speed Bud 1 - No changes. Nothing.

Speed bud 2 (small girl) - I planted her in a coca cola mega bottle as shes very small and i have no space in the tent (I am going to replace her with new speed bud seed)

Speed bud 3 - New baby - I just planted new Speed bud seed into 5-gallon pot. Hopefully, she will pop out in few days. Then i can replace it with speed bud 2 - the little girl.
