"unquestionably matches the perceived potency"
You know, sometimes that's good enough. I'v seen many post with good looking plants under QB LEDs and CMH. I'm still very much on the fence. I want a 320qb that covers a 3x3 but they don't make that set up and I simply don' have the time or energy to build.
Where as the CMH is perfect for a 3x3. Also, I'm worried about light spectrum with the QB, will 3000k be good enough or should I add a 2700k for red and 4000k for blue. If I do this how do I set it up without favoring one side with one spectrum? I suppose I can rotate plant pots but the CMH would seem to remove most of that worry. Now, again, this is from my searching and reading, obviously I'm learning and can be very wrong in any of the statements made. Perhaps my worry is unwarranted.
Now, the 260qb led is set to 3x3 but I like that the 320qb has a mix of 3000k and 2700k, the 260 doesn't. I' l to make a decision on something today and pull the trigger.
One last note. I keep reading that Phillips stopped producing the 3100k bulb, these seem to be old post from 2016, is this still true?
