Hey I made some extract in the magical butter machine. I mixed with vg and pg 7 to 3. Set it for the 8 hour setting and after that I put it in my vape but it just tastes like burned coil, there is no feeling or taste to it. I did de carb it. What can I do to it ? Or is it wasted already? What can I add to get the effects?

I dont know what that is but Distalete tast like i cant explain it but if you dodnt clean your head and pig it might tast burnt on that second pass

if you used the machine, it decarbs as it cooks it.
i've since kind of given up on vaping, but i was into it for a while, and made my own juice. i found qwiso made the best juice. give it a couple of days sitting out after you make it for all the iso to evaporate, but its easier to get it to dissolve if you mix it in before it starts to get hard. i also found that unless you make sure it dissolves really well, it will settle out, so its worth it to spend an extra 5 minutes gently heating and stirring it

why do you want to? are you trying to turn it into a tincture? cause you can't vape it with alcohol mixed in it, and you already have vg and pg in it....i don't see where you're trying to go

you use the everclear, or iso, or butane, to get the trichs off of the weed. then you try to get rid of all of it before you use it. it's only purpose is as a solvent. if you put it in your vaper, you will definitely taste it, and it won't be pleasant. you can try it, your experience may differ from mine, but if i try it and taste any alcohol at all, that's how i know i didn't purge it long enough

Wish I could help, what did u use as a solvent ? To extract the oil ...
I like 2 diff kinds of oil Black and Gold. If u have int this is what I do:
1) Blk Oil: 1 oz herb to 20 oz everclear rm temp let it mix ~20 min, drain& strain into lg Pyrex, let it sit in sun (cover with cheese cloth)
for 20 min & alchemy occurs “green is gone”, makes 5.6 Gr Black oil, no I don’t Dewinterize...but u can if u want.
(NO HEAT used until down to 2 oz liquid in small 2x2 empty Pinzey spice jar
place on coffee warmer until All micro bubbles gone, stir with toothpic!) This oil works just fine mixed 5:2.5 ratio In C Cell cartimizer 2mm oil feed holes for vaping).
2) Gold Oil: Same as above, but use 5 lb of Dry Ice in a med size cooler
Prepare herb in glass jar & 20 oz Everclear in separate jar, when temp = minus -45f immediately mix the 2 &
shut cooler up...lightly shake cooler every 4 min., after 20 min done, drain & strain sitting in closed cooler.
Now just evaporate using fan blowing over cheese cloth cover Pyrex dish, finish off like above on coffee warmer. Yummy
I’ve tried a number of different solvents & emulsifiers(Puff Magic is my favorite did not like MCT oil & this is the way for me).
C Cell with 4-2 mm oil feed holes the way to go for vaping Amazon 2.50–3.5 ea 5 pacs usually.
Also 4 volt vape Pin 3 for $18 no ship fee Amazon... just takes some searching DH Gate for bulk buys.
( usually the 4 volt pins have 3 variable voltages & pre-heat, I don’t use preheat I think the 4 volt setting
just fine). I also use Puff Magic as a oil emulsifier, did not like MCT oil & terps r expensive.
I like 5:2.5 ratio
(Oil to Emulsifier)
I could go on & on, this is all new to me as well past year, just got tired of smoke in my lungs.
Teflon spatulas make best stir sticks & toothpic for stirring oil in Penzey Spice Jar (I save the jars when the wife is done using the spice). Absolute perfect size & thickness.
Put some oil on end of a safety pin & light iT as final check that all alcohol is evaporated u should not see any sizzle just melt...!
vapes well for me- about 45-55 hits per .5 mm cart. fill (1 oz herb will make enough oil for about 14 fills Blk oil, & 10 with gold oil or more if u want to lower the potency.)
As mentioned I use the 4 volt vape pin setting. Occasionally clean the draw tube with a pipe cleaner cut to 1 inch, appears these ceramic oil absorption takes in more than can handle-probably why I don’t use preheat function & draw soft !

Thanks for the info how will I know the alcohol will evaporate completely? Also how long will it usually takes to evaporate ? What will I mix it with? Vape it straight?

20 oz of 190 proff alcohol takes about 4 hrs or so to evap with fan blowing over it ( I use like a 20x14 Pyrex dish), tilt the dish a little toward the fan so u see ripples on the alcohol. Open window...or outside...seriously.
I know when All the alcohol is evaped, because I finish it off in the Penzey spice jar mentioned in my post on a coffee warmer, that is when my Pyrex dish only has about 1 oz of mix in iT I add it to the Penzey jar. ( u will see little Micro bubbles as u stir it occasionally with a toothpick, when the bubbles r gone your done, do the pin test mentioned in my original post.
I’ll tell u though when I first got into this I made a mistake & decarboxalated my herb in the oven
& it tasted burnt, but it still did the job...if vaping u Do Not need to de carb...

Actually sorry, I got to thinking of you’re really not sure about the alcohol being evaped off, just let it all evaporate in the Pyrex dish until just a “goo”, this is about the consistency u want. Now u know pretty much what your dealing with add 1 oz or so of alcohol back to the oil in the Pyrex mix we’ll get All the oil, & now pour using silicone stir spatula into the Penzey jar & follow above previous post directions to evaporate all alcohol.
Have you heard of the source turbo?

Good way to not fuss around, big price tag though 599.00. But hey if u can grow your own & use medicine quantities, Yeh I would use it, save $15 every time.
(problem I would have, is 8 liquid oz processing size-I like to use about 20oz per 1 oz herb for good oil extraction)

I’d say this chap was , again though not a MCT oil fan for emulsifier dilution, Puff Magic is my choice. (Just remembered u mentioned a bad taste in a batch, a product called Hypnotic Mist by North West Vapors-$6.00 for 30 mls
is a great taste enhancer in any vape product. I’ve used about 20%
added per gram of concentrate oil.)
