Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

Long time lurker. I started this process toward the end of March via Innovative Express Care.

I received and email from thepatientalliance on April 3rd saying my application was submitted and my CC was charged 250 for 'qualifying patient fee' the same day.

I haven't heard any news since then. I'm only on day 36 of waiting, but is there anything I should be looking out for? I keep reading about checks clearing and cashing. I never wrote a check during the process.

I haven't planned on calling or emailing anyone in Springfield until the end of June, assuming I hear nothing. As stated earlier, just curious what the next milestone is in the process.

Hey I also went to innovate express on March 29th. Mine was received on April 4 I called twice once a couple of weeks ago and today I got through both time just googled the number. Both times really nice lady’s they really don’t want to tell u much but my app is waiting to be processed and that it may take up to 90 days from start to end but I believe we’re close to being up n that we should have our card by the end of the month if not the first week of June. Hope that helps.

I've seen people say that you can check your application status by trying to create a new application on the IDPH website. Supposedly, if you have already been issued a qualifying patient number then it will not let you start a new application. Does this only work for individuals who submitted their application online?

Hi guys. I'm on day 52 and my patience is running dry. I couldn't help it, I just had to call and see what information I could get. Well, I got nothing. I was extremely nice but the woman I spoke with refused to provide me with any more information other than that they've received my application. :wall:

Well I sent in my application on February 18th I found out they cashed my check on April 18th when I call she said I was approved on April 24th I guess after the check cleared and she also said my card was mailed on the 30th of April and it would be 10 to 14 business days before I receive it and I'm still waiting hope that helps

Yay for you too purple flower 22 didn't you say you sent your app in February to so we're probably ganna get them on the same day fingers crossed I'm just tired and Excited to get it i don't even smoke I don't like how it smells but if it helps me with pain and my Anxiety I'll try it hopefully it works so let's cross our fingers and pray we get them soon

No, unfortunately I didn't send my application in til March. There are lots of options besides smoking. Check out Project CBD. They have a lot of good info. Strains higher in CBD will give you less of the psychogenic effects but it helps to have a little THC for the CBD to be absorbed faster. High CBD strains are great for pain, anxiety, muscular spasms, and much much more. Leafly also has good resources.

Kathie is on Day 82 if that is any consolation. And I was 102, I predict Kathie gets her card before Sunday.

Ok they cashed mine on April 18th also I'm still waiting but not patiently I feel like I'm stalking the mailman lol but you know since you haft to pay so much for the prints for the card it's self you'd think they could at least send it FedEx or overnight shipping I meen shit I get my Embrel over night shipping

I got my card about 6 weeks after about 80-90 wait it is worth the wait nothing will speed up the process. They had my money 2 days after but it doesn't speed it along. Hang in there try CBD flower waxes etc they help I still use mine with. Good luck to all hang in there.
