So basically I’m really impatient but just wondering on when I should give up on a clone will add pictures later of them some of them have been in the medium for over week and a half still no sign of roots anywhere in cup but the leaves are still all green and not yellowing misting them couple times a day but how long should I wait before saying fuck it they are obviously not gonna root

Ha don't give up especially if things are green and perky. I don't like the mystery of what sound like your in pot you can't see. I clone in clear cups. cheers.:bigjoint:
That’s actually what they are in is clear cups that’s what I start all my seedlings in anyways like being able to see the root mass

Shouldn’t need misting after the first few days unless you’re in a very dry environment. Clones misted too long will be slower to root as the plant is getting all its moisture through the leaves and not trying to root
That’s good to know man thank you have been misting them almost everyday cuz I was worried about them drying out

Don't set clones into CLEAR CUPS!!!!

Bad idea.....When's the last time you saw clear flower pots? Not conducive to root set!
That’s true but when grown from seed they have no issue being started in a clear cup doesn’t affect them at all why would a clone be any different although I have heard that before never seen any actual proof

Your NOT supposed to use clear cups in growing period...
The roots don't form properly for nutrient uptake - In all roots exposed to light!

Bet my opaque solo's grow faster....

plants in a solo cup are no more complex then anyone else's solo cup rooters..lol

They sit under multi spectrum bulbed T5 6 and 8 bulb banks.

As they get up potted...They move to 1K's before moving into the bloom room...

What are you using for water in those cups? I have a DIY bubble cloner that works well but for just a few cuts it would be nice to be able to tuck them away somewhere like the bedroom closet and not have to listen to the airpump all night. :)

I use a bit of peroxide and a very light dose of all 3 of my 3-part nutes in the bubbler. Almost anything works tho.

Gonna see if the store has clear cups that fit nicely inside the red cups the wife bought for starting her tomatoes. Can see the roots fine in the bubbler but not so much when I clone in in my usual screened promix and usually go 2 weeks then give them the "tug test" to see if there are any roots happening. They pass almost 100% of the time.

My girls are today 3 weeks since 12/12 and I was going to pass on cloning them but getting on that shit today!

:peace:

Easiest clones I have taken lately is just to cut the clone and stick it in a nursery bag filled with moist coco and put it on a bed of coco coir to check when the roots start peeking out.
