Hermie Autoflowerz????

I think ive got a big prob!! Hermie autoflowers! What should i do? The buds are still growing.

Just rip them off, make sure you get them all, they come in all shapes and sizes. Wet your fingers wen you do it, water makes pollen inert , just in case

I voted yea as majority of the seeds you get will be female, but you run the risk of passing on the Hermie trait, especially through the seeds that come from the plant there Hermes in the first place

I kept all the seeds that have come from any herns that I've missed since I started growing, but those are just my apocalypse beans, one day I may hunt through some of the more exotic crosses and see what I find, but that will be in a controlled e viroment where it will not be with my other plants

Lolol your apocalypse beans! That's a good one. Well i think i did it myself on accident as the timer was set to 24 for 3 days accidentally, and i was gone for a week and the temp reached to 90...so im guessing I stress induced the hermie growth. Ok though, good to hear that the seeds Should be female! I will update you. Thanks

Sweet Thanks fpr the suggestion, im going to do that. Question though, Its not like i pollinated them with a male, the hermie change is from stress. Does that make a difference when creating seeds??

I find that hermie seeds tend to carry on thay hermie DNA however this hermaphroditism could be caused from stress which means the seeds will be less likely to be hermies.

Usually the trait will pass on in some of the beans, really it's not worth risking unless they're your apocalypse beans lol

I'm confused, are you trying to make seeds? Or are you just considering it a 'life handing you lemons' sort of thing?

If you're trying to make seeds, it most certainly matters where the pollen comes from. Honestly, don't waste your time trying to grow out seeds you created, the real process takes several generations of selective breeding, and as several above have mentioned, the progeny will be mostly hermaphrodite, since hermaphrodism is a dominant trait within all cannabis.

Honestly, don't waste your time trying to grow out seeds you created, the real process takes several generations of selective breeding, and as several above have mentioned, the progeny will be mostly hermaphrodite, since hermaphrodism is a dominant trait within all cannabis.

I ordered seeds from a real seed bank. They vegged properly but during the 4th week of flowering, the timer was chipped out and the lights stayed on 24 hrs a day for about 5 days... I did some research about stress induced hermaphrodites and since I had no males around I'm guessing this is what happened. Now that I see seed Pockets growing I was wondering if the seeds will be hermie Autoflowers...like, will the hermie gene get passed down? Or will the seeds just be 100 percent female autos???

Less likely possibly, but theres is still that Hermie trait being passed, which is the main reason rhodelization isn' the metod of making fem beans anymore because it still does pass the Hermie trait, and are you willing to stake your entire grow on Hermie seeds,

this is the main reason I'm not a fan of autofkowers anymore, if you find a real nice plant you want to keep you can't take cuts, as I was going to suggest growing them out taking cuts from each then find one that doesn't throw nanners
