Well I just went and took a whiff of the two Cinderella XX and I’m getting a hawaiana punch smell from one and the other a Sweet funky cheese came to mind not getting spice or pineapple notes at the moment let’s see how they finish off.

I picked up the regs pretty close to when they were first re released. At the time I was unaware of the specifics that made the Cindy so great. I f2'ed them so that I might be able to dig through them a bit. Maybe find something special. I also crossed it with some Romulan that I was also growing at the time. I actually really like the Romulan alot. Good kick in the ass high and it tastes pretty dang good too.

The one Cindy XX that I did pop looks very indica to me, really short with fat leaves, very bushy. (Still in veg, so I can't comment on the final product.
Plus, one popped, so not exactly a great way to decide on whether a strain is good or not.

How is it that peak has the original stock but Bros grim doesn't?

I know Bros grim had to source a replacement for one of the parents.

I never put much stock in cannabis lineage stories on the net.

I only know what was told to me and what I can say without a doubt MikeJ at peak is as stand up as you will find and in noway a story teller.
It is actually how I even came across peakseedsbc. I had found a thread on MNS forums about it about 4 or so years ago now.
Having enjoyed tons of the original thanks to a close friend growing it for years, I have no doubt it is what he has.
Having said that I have not tried any of the revivals, I have only read about them online.

Mr Soul stopped growing for a long while. When he started up Brothers Grimm again he had to source cuts from a friend. In the meantime multiple breeders had been growing and producing seeds from the original Brothers Grimm stock. Either people prefer the further work that these other breeders put into these strains, or Mr Soul may not have been able to get back the exact parents he used in his initial seed runs.

I checked thier site and all they have now is a cross.

I wasn't doubting it. Just thought it odd. I guess not odd. They probably bought a bunch of stock up or bred from early stock.

I asked about apollo13 seeds and someone posted a link to someone still selling them.

Might be worth a try. I reckon c99 came from apollo13. If the listing was legit then the appollo seeds may have more of the spice for those that like it.

Sorry I always forget to mention that lol The just c99 is available it just isn't listed. If you email him asking he has it. Also as I know it apollo came from c99 which came from a bud of jack. I absolutely could be wrong on that one lol But it is in my head as that.
I have no doubt for anyone wanting the original c99 PeakseedsBC has it.

Yea Apollo was the precursor to c99. That I read I think direct on grims site. Or somewhere. So many sources I forget.

The jack being the beginning.

I would like to find original jack seeds.

Ya all I know is all three are absolutely related with the Jack being the parent originator.
I do plan on grabbing some apollo from Eastcoastseeds at some point just to compare. But I love te pineapple c99!!!

Yea. Apollo13 would be rare. Supposedly only about 500 seeds were made and cuttings are rare.

The appollo11 is a c99 cross. From what I've read.

I like the pineapple. I like spice too.

Thanks for the heads up. Ill email peak. I'll check out eastcoast as well.
