looks perfectly natural. It's exactly what is supposed to happen at late flower. If one harvests and the leaves ain't almost all gone and yellowed then too much nitrogen which screws up the taste. The plant is using the leaves to make the buds....the leaves are the storehouse! Only an idiot would feed 3 weeks to a month prior to harvest or/and after flush. You like the taste of nitrates? see this Maui at 4 1/2 weeks in flower....see bottom leaves turning. I expect all leaves to turn and nearly drop off by finish like these other pics.

I just got here and don't have much to show but I suspect your's don't look any better at 4 weeks into flower....8 weeks from seed planted. Maybe you big commercial grower or whatever but I'm limited by space so have to grow small scale but doesn't make me any less knowledgeable....been growing 25 years and have seen it all (not saying I know it all though)! Maybe you and your idiot friends are big fancy pants here and/or in California. I don't care! It's wrong to tell this guy to feed his pot late in flower and nearly every old timer (and dispensery) would agree!

Also, think the Maui seeds are Nirvana sold by Seedsman. All my Seedsman seeds have sprouted (can't say same for another seed bank won't mention name). Even the freebies like this low bushy AK-48

I know your pain. I just went through this same issues in Dec/Jan when I bought a bag of tupur soil mix that was out of condition. Tupur is coco and the bag must have dried out and then got wet again while the store/vendor had it. I didn't know the mix was bunk so I didn't recondition the coco and within a couple of weeks my shit had basically stopped growing.

I thought it was ph, then I thought it was my cal/mag or fertilizer went bad but after addressing those issues my plants seemed to get a little better but still suffered. That's when it dawned on me the tupur must be the issue so I went and got a fresh bag from a reputable source and bam shit was back on track.

The bad tupur mix wouldn't dry out like normal and the roots got water logged. It would take a week for the 2 gallon pot to dry out when it should have only taken 1 or 2 days.

Hmmm. That reminds me. I had a whole bale of peat that was out of whack. Bad pH. I ended up dumping it in the compost. It was in one of my threads.

It's possible to get bad soil. Not bad but out of range I should say.

Seedsman has a good white widow. Sativa dominant. I also got some hawaiin skunk haze freebies from them that are no longer available. It was a 16+ week land race sativa.

It was good.

That about all that stands out though.

He still uses blurple lights,that should say a lot about him.Plants yellow because flushing kills the plant at the most vital time of bud growth.The last 2 weeks is when they bulk up and frost out.There is never a need to flush a plant,ever!That is only true if the plant is grown right.Your plants were burnt to hell and then starved at the end.

So you post your grows and out of three grows one group of buds (and like 1 pic...is it even yours?)..lol

Mine are bigger and more healthy and I bet you have much more money to throw at it them then me....I'm on disability and grow as a medical patient.

edit: no one is flushing Nitrogen! Tap water..especially here (high akaline) and walmart spring water has much stuff in it good for pot growing....but over time will build up deposits (crystals) at the root tips restricting upflow...the flushing washes these away increasing plants ability to uptake nutrients.

Now, in late 90's Maui would take up to 14 months for amber trichs....after three months of tap mixed with spring water (can't even use staright tap water here for pot) plant needs a flush. Seen the difference many times in growth after flush. Many use distilled water to avoid this but many micros in tap water.

However, This Maui I have now looks like a 7-8 week variety...Fem seeds...that's almost half the time it once took. You guys talked me into not flushing because gonna have such an extensive root ball (already nearly do in one) that in a few weeks gonna all be run trough anyway.



There is all this hype (getting same thing from a friend that swears by Foxfarm and he can't even grow indoors with good lights...he grows outdoors...big...with Foxfarm nutes and his pot sucks. Ya, it will get you high but yuck!). He says the same about flushing....see it's part of the scam to get a bunch of idiots hooked on a schedule of additives....costing a small fortune....and screwing up genetics....and taste like crap...not to mention the yet unlearned aspect of all else you people smoke with your additives!

A fool and his money are soon parted! If you want to believe all this hype about additives (and no flushing..how else they gonna schedule you up to last week...lol). Ya, my Foxfarm friend claims the same about flushing and claims..."oh ya, they make stuff to add that will increase trichs and resin"...LMAO.

You are the one missing out as is proven that extending feeding into late flower can cause trichs to not ever turn amber on some strains (and that's natural?!?!)...and bud size is increased when plant is allowed to extract what it needs from the leaves to make the buds...you however are feeding yours so no (or little) storehouse is taken from leaves making for smaller buds (I also know this from my own experience using nutes).

This is first time in my life I have ever cropped marijuana....I grew exclusively whole one cola plants (5+ feet) in 5 gal buckets for many years. I have to keep em low now and cropping is the way to do it but am still trying to find that best size (with regard to veg) so I will get better as some I only veg 3 weeks and crop twice in that time at 24 hr light and stick em in 12/12. These Maui are first i veg full 30 days so earlier are smaller than I would like but small plants make smaller buds. My closet shelf (where I hang my lights from) limits my vertical growth so have to be careful for bleaching. I do construction so may just take it out but packed to ceiling with stuff for now so...
