I'm in Eugene. All I can say is light dep.
Light dep.

There are a very few strains that will finish in time to not have issues with mold but, for the most part, I'm done with doing all of the work and spending the first month and a half of flowering watching loads of gorgeous buds form only to have to spend the last 2-3 weeks of flowering out there hacking moldy buds apart everyday.

I'm down here in NW Florida, but I'm growing a lot of seeds out of Oregon. Both my Ass Cheese and Gorille de Raisin were Oregon grown strains. Now I have a "new" strain from out that way called Green Springs. My friend's friend found a mason jar full of seeds when they were doing some dirt work to put in a shed. No idea what they are, but they named them after the local landmark.

My other buddy sent me so many bag seeds that I joked I could start a seed company. Oregon Pretty Good Bag Seed Company. I figured his bag seeds were as good as anything I come across down here.

Last year I was up to my ass in mold, so while not as cold, I still have some of the same concerns you guys do.

So far all I'm committing to is a bunch of Mephisto autos -- because I bought the seeds last year and did not use them and I can be 100% sure they will finish before the rains come. I did get some The Deputy seeds this winter (great sale prices!), but I'm going to grow them indoors next winter.

So far this is my "outdoor"... LOL... a few tough plants that I threw into a compost heap about 6 weeks ago when they showed sex. The two boys I shook the soil off of their roots, and the scrappy bastards are still showing signs of life. The other was a true hermie, showed both male and female from the first signs of sex, and now it's only showing female. No doubt it'll go back into veg, so I'll probably cut the buds off when they start to get funky and see if it can have a semi-normal life. They're all OGS Double Diesels, if that matters to anyone.

Funny you should say this, since I just came online to start a thread about light dep...

I've got a cut of Key Lime Pie going in the fifth spot I got from a buddy. It's still in a gallon pot waiting for its transplant.
Got a couple Cookie Wrecks going in a raised bed as well..._DSC1545.JPG _DSC1549.JPG
Looking forward to another great season...:peace: SD

Nice looking bunch of plants @slow drawl -- off to a great start!

This has been a spring of lazy for me. I decided to go all autos since we don't really need more meds and I have some seeds to get rid of. Autos will eliminate all of the fall weather issues, but I learned last year, not worms. After I started I sort of got into it and bought a few more seeds. And then I joined a collective and got a few more plants in a raffle/door prize sort of situation (still all autos!) that were 30 days old in 3 gallon pots.

We've had an overcast cooler spring so far, so all of them are going to be stunted to varying degrees. I was told by another local that our cool Oregon nights all summer will slow the overall growth. The bigger ones are so hungry for sun they're stretching.

The camera in my hand-me-down phone is dying, it lost the ability to focus at more than a few feet distance over half the frame, so, sorry in advance for some blurry pictures.

I have not had too much of an issue with PM or bud rot. I’m on the eastern slope in the gorge and it’s much drier, but I agree light dep is the way to go!
I built my 17 x 26 light dep hoop house inside my 30 x 48 greenhouse. I just finished chopping my first crop this weekend and it looks as good if not better than my indoor stuff!
I’ll be getting three runs in starting April 1 and finishing the third run by late October!

That said my first run was mainly
Obama Kush
Blue Dream
Purple Kush

Second Run transplanted today

Blue Cookies
Obama Kush
Grease Monkey
Citrus Sap

Third Run

Obama K
Blue Cookies
Blue Dream
Critical Mass

Outdoor

Mango Oregon Diesel
Oregon Diesel

Autos have come a long way, you should find something among those that fits the bill.
I grew a few last year and was really impressed with the Qtr Pounder from Canuk. Got almost 3oz from it and was pretty stoney smoke.
Hell if you grow your limit of 10 plants you could easily pull down a lb.

Very impressive set up. I wish I had the diligence to do a light dep, but I don't.

The frame in a frame is definitely the way to go for the hoop house style. No rain or even condensation to make the blackout tarp stick and if the main house is big enough you can flower and veg under the same roof.

Yeah. It’s a commitment.. but if it’s successful and I and get some $$ for my excess I’m going to get the roll up motors and timers. That’ll take a lot of the work out of it!

Plus I’m not trimming a shit ton of weed in October.. spreading the trimming out will save my sanity!

Spreading the work out and getting better quality and overall yield at the same time.
