Bout 2-3 weeks ago. Honestly can’t give an exact date. All the days run together lately but chopped and dried and put into jar. I don’t have an rh meter thing. It’s been in my jar for about a week or so (I think). A tiny tiny bit of smell is coming from one jar (dried and everything the same). Lights were off. Dried in the dark.

A hygrometer seems to be the only way to maintain knowledge of the temp/humidity. Some are very inexpensive...like a couple of bucks apiece.. I paid $40 and got a main unit plus 3 remotes. The remotes are small enough to fit in the mason jars when curing...I keep one at canopy level during grow for Temp & RH. The main unit you can carry or put where you are hanging out....it continuously shows the info from the remotes. Will help when you need to burp during the cure too.
I'm sure this tool has saved many grows.....just a thought. Happy smoking !

I've tried drying and curing just about every way there is. MY most successful way was cutting all the fan leaves off, cutting all the sugarless sugar leaves off then hanging the whole plant for 3-7 days, depending on the season. Then discarding the main stems and jarring and burping for 2-3 weeks, all the while checking rH and discarding the remaining stems and sugar leaves as needed.
I imagine the smell not ever coming really comes down to genetics and or it drying too fast and chemical processes completing too abruptly. But what do I know.

I used to get away with that for years and years, years ago. Used to do it because I was a one man team and it was easier at the time. That and trimming dry gets me all allergetic. But I always noticed my buds didn’t smell much. I was growing some bomb ass shit. Didn’t matter back then. It sold.
It makes a 100% difference from my experience trimming wet vs. dry.
We chop down, pluck fan leaves and hang to dry. Preferably @ around 68F/55-60%. When ready to take down it goes into bins until we can put scissors to it.
