Invalid drug test reading - will it come back positive?

My partner attended a pre-employment drug test today and had an invalid result for THC.

He was tested with Proscreen Cup here in New Zealand. Every other reading was negative, however THC came back as an invalid reading (neither positive or negative). They re-tested and it came back invalid the second time round too. We also tested at home with a cheap kit and that showed as invalid.

He is 33, 170cm, 106kg and would be considered a heavy user for most of his adult life. His last puff was 2 weeks/15 days ago.

He didn't use a drug screener, has been working out hard (weights/running) and drinking lots of water and cranberry juice for the last two weeks. He also uses C4 workout supplement, but I heard that doesn't affect a drug test.

I'm not sure why the other results would come back negative, while THC invalid (not negative or positive?)

The test has been sent off to the lab for further analysis, what is the chance it will come back positive?

In my experience indeterminate is usually seen as an attempt to evade. Often a retest is offered. Heavy smokers can test positive for up to 30 days depending on the sensitivity of the test.

Yeah that's unfortunate - the dr did ask if he tried to mask the results. Hopefully they will come back negative, otherwise re-test mid next week should have a negative reading. Thanks!

If it went to a lab those test are much more sensitive and could show it still in his system. The problem with c4 is it’s a creatine supplement and it cause the muscles to retain a ton of water to aid in the muscle building process. It can delay the thc from it forcing all that water and nutrients into the muscle.
