Quality in Flowering, 3000k or 3500k?

@Rolla J what do you think of that light set up?
Wouldn't notice much difference between them 2 Kelvin temps. He'll be running high quality Samsung strips as is so really any color temp would produce high quality buds. 3500k would be best if growing from seed to harvest Imo. Might have tighter node spacing than 3000k, but I'd run that color temp (3000k) if using the light for flower only. So many variations to consider when it comes down to the whole setup, environment and technique.

Should have known that you would get all scientific on me... LOL

The variances are very very minor.

The 3500 might give you a bit more crystal but I doubt you’d notice.

The 3000k might make it ripen a few days sooner etc but again, probably hard to notice.

I made my own heatsinks. I took 2x2 extruded aluminium tubing. And cut 3 sides. Every 2 inches. Like slotted it. Then applied my strips to the uncut side. And use aluminum angel to attach it all together. Then I took 30mm fans and put in one end of the tube and they blow through each tube. To cool the leds. My tent stays at 84° pretty much on point throughout the day. Then in the bigger gaps I put the dual row sunboards at 2700k.

My entire setup is controlled by phone. All wirelessly. I can turn fans on n off, each different strip on n off. The single rows, or just the reds, or jus the 2700ks. Or a heater, or dehumidifier. All my grow areas are monitored remotely temp and humidity. As long as my phone has service or WiFi no matter where I'm at in the world I can turn each thing on or off. My timers are setup through my phone. I have no electrical or mechincal timers.

How much did that set you back? Nevermind, I looked it up... A pretty penny... I wonder how many I could fit in a 4x2, what would be the proper way to space them, all that good shit???
I have less than 400 bucks it my total light. The 10 single rows are running on a HLG-320-24B, the 5 dual rows are running on a HLG-240H-24A, and the 4 rows of reds are running on a HLG-120H-24B. I can ru max on the single rows and push 335 watts, the dual rows push 244 watts maxed out. And the reds maxed out 133 watts. HLG drivers are under rated some. But I don' run them maxed out. I habe all of them at about 75% just over 530 watts total drawl.

looks like a pretty killer set up. how do you have everything set up remotely like that?

i bought the hlg-600h-24b driver and i'd like to figure out how to dim it from a remote or my phone

right now the thought i have in my head for this light is to get 1/8 inch sheet of aluminum and mount all of these strips on it, then in the 4 corners and dead center of the aluminum sheet i'd put 8 different colored cree diodes, the smaller ones, in series so they'd be splitting up the 24v between them, and i'd work the samsung f series strips around them. i like the idea of how you're cooling your fixture. i think i might try to do something with the pipe like you did. maybe i'll do something like that and use 3/4 EMT and bend 90's to go around the edge of the fixture frame with holes cut out of the pipe facing down on the aluminum. what kind of fan are you using to fit into the end of the tubing?

I haven't found anyone yet in my area that is doing anything like this... I don't know if its because its not legal yet in my state or what but I'm in it to win it... I thank you for the inspiration to reach greater heights in this growing game...
