What are the overhead expenses and monthly expenses in indoor grows?

Overhead i figure is just room set up and installation of the fixtures, which is not cheap.

Interested in what monthly or per-harvest expenses there are. Here's what I gathered:

Plants
Pots
Soil
Nutrients
Water
Electricity
Bulb replacements
Carbon Filter replacement
Misc items (hardware, trellises, etc)

per light its 3000 CAD, investment. for the first initial 6months or to first harvest depend how slow you work :)

Set up costs for my small set up would be around $2k.

Expenses after that are not very much at all. $100 or so for electricity for a 3 month period. Another $100 on nutes and incidentals maybe...
Just rough idea.

+2 on time. The cost of keeping the environment proper will fuck ya pretty good if ya don't have a rock solid plan for moving hot or cool air and/or evacuating humidity. Too many people think that they have their shit all in one sock........ till them lights come on and the temp jumps 15 degrees in 15 minutes.

I second this. it's easy to have a one track mind at first and only consider basic neccessitys. but enviornment control should be taken care of first and fore most before getting into it. if you can't keep your enviornment within certain parameters your grow won't see harvest . that's a fact. so buy your exhaust fans and humidifiers and dehumidifier , oscillating fans etc and make sure your able to keep temps between 65-85 min and max. and your Rh between 20% - 50% when you need

85f max?. That's only 30c.lol I see 100f plus.

Fair enough to try to keep to optimum conditions but for most small home growers, especially those in warmer climates its OK to have higher temps. The plants still grow and finish just fine.

If my indoor grow was consistently hitting temps of 100 plus every day I would go back outside with it until I figured out a solution lol.

Time and startup costs are the most expensive.

LEDs are cheap to run...

Depending on your medium and your plants and the brand you use nutrients CAN be costly but for the most part it's nothing crazy.

Growing weed is cheap and easy.
Growing GOOD weed...well it's not as easy as you think lol

Solution is AC for the middle of summer. Just not worth it and would stick out like a sore thumb in my shed. Carnt grow inside really. I have heaps of space but to much of a risk as its illegal here.

Love growing outside! Put my first proper outdoor plot in around '93. To hard in the sub tropical climate Im now in
Even with the temps, the quality of bud i can grow inside is better than what I can grow gorilla.
Higher temps are not ideal but they still grow better pot than what the majority can buy.

nutes can be expensive in hydro especially additives such as canna boost. Not sure if the price has come down but that stuff used to cost me a lot. ($120 for 250 mls) which only suits small setups.

your plants may survive over 85.....but under perfect conditions like extra co2 or silica supplements . either way. your photosynthesis will come to a halt when temps get over 85. your growth will severely slow and if temps are kept anywhere near 100f for any length of time like a couple weeks. I highly doubt any plant would do much in those conditions. But what do I know lol...

and if werw referring to outdoor grow and temps that's completely different . plants can sustain harsher conditions outside because of the constant availability of fresh air blowing by and yes some strains genetically grown in warmer areas can sustain hotter temps. but I'm speaking in a more general basis.

o ive seen mid 40s outside for weeks at a time, dry desert air to. Airflow and water and no problem. Its all transpiration until a certain point.
My posts have been about indoor temps. Im telling you what can be done, is done and I do. Im not arguing with you about "if" it can be done..

How bigs the light and is it hps or uv? Plus you might need to spend money on cooling and fans

If you have access to lots of water you can do an intake through ducting filled with moist loose straw.
You will need to rig some drip mcgatfer to make sure they don't go dry.
