hi people so i have been looking at quantum boards and i have my eyes on the HGL 65w

i am currently using viparspectra 600w thats 275w from the wall

i would like to know if the 65w quantum bored would be better then the 275w vipar or am i better off keeping the higher wat and crappy spectrum or other way around

What's the size of your grow space,
dont matter what size the grow space is im only interested on what light will produce better but i am basing off 2x2ft but my grow space is bigger. if i can have a 65w lights do the job of my 275w lights.

Hi Kipn, I'm a new grower too on my first grow. I started a little over a month ago with the same light you have, and after reading up on the forums here I decided to return it and swapped in an HLG 265 quantum board kit. I'm very glad I did - my plants responded very well to the new light, and it is a lot more pleasant on my eyes in the tent than it was with the Viparspectra. My tent is 3 x 3 and the 265 seems perfect for the space. Good luck with your grow!

Yes it does matter what size your grow area is. The 65w kit would be a bit small. You would want to go with the hlg 135w kit. The QB will produce better, if you get the appropriate size.

no it dont as i would be using several lights over one light to cover my grow aria as i prefer this for coverage / spread. so if i went with 4 65w boards covering a 3x3 will it produce good enough par or would 2 135w kits provide better par. personally i cant afford several lights in one go so was thinking of buying 4 over a few months and add lights. i was going to buy my 1st 65w this week but not sure if im making a bad choice

Good luck. You seem to have it all figured out.

haha i wouldn't say that. are the 130w kits the same as two 65w kits or does the 130w put out better par over two 65w.
if the 130w are better then two 65w my guess is go two of them over 4 of the other. it would end up cheaper for two lights
