new grower plant problems, pics

Hello all.

My plants are in their 3rd week from a sprouted seed, this is blue dream.
3x3 tent, 900v Viperspectra leds. (right now about 40" away)
Growing in Coco Coir. Temps: lights on I get to about 83max and at night go to about 75min.
humidity is 45%-55%.
After the first few days 4or 5 I started using advannced nutes sensi grow coco, with below seedlings doses. was using stripped distilled water.. now using bottled 5 gallon poland springs.
Ph for feeding has been around 6.3 (6.1 -6.5)

durning the first week and a half they were doing great! then I started getting:
1.the bottom leaves curling upwards, mostly from the sides.. twisted kinda, but ok still.
2. then i started seeing little brown/dead spots, just like a few little ones tiny tiny..
3. then I started getting tips browning still curing up/inward..

1 plants bottom leaves were abput 50% brown/purpley/yellow discolored so I nipped them off. you can probably spot her in the pic.

At first i thought that they were groing fast and that they wernt get enough nutrients..awell as the fact that the needed to be repotted. they were in solo cups. So I transplaned them into 5 gallons bags. used a little mykos and transpant seemed to go smooth.

I took these pic right after lights out with camera flash. please let me know your thoughts. im a stressed out newbie. I only planned on 2, put was sprout happy and they all sprouted so I planted all 5... tents is too small I know.. I might have to let a few go just to manage.

any help would be aprecaited.

Little nute burn. Newer growth looks OK.

Next time use soil and relax a bit more. Coco is not recommended by me for new growers. Neither is hydro although many new growers do it and get bud. But the slower responses by the plant in soil help you learn the plant better.

They are feminized.
After researching I thought that coco would have been better based on the hard to over or under water.. but now I get it lol..

So you think I’m feeding them to much nutrients? And that’s causing the burn?
I was thinking the opposite.. but at this point in the pic I posted I guess..
I also have never taken pictures without grow light.. so it looks much different.

Those bottom leaves? Do they matter.. they only seem to have the one serrated..

I’ve read those topics except for coco ex cap.

I thought at first I had a general nute deficiency, spcifcally mag.
I read coco coir info for sure, Ive put an Extreme amount of time reasesrching.

Sometimes group experience outweighs searches.. I came here for others experience.. but thank you.

While this is under lights... this is where things started to look funky too me.. this was the start of the curling.. I believe this one was the one that had the leaves that I snipped off. At first ithought it was too much light.. so I backed off a bit to 40". then when the coloring and dying happend in the second pic.. i snipped them..

so just some more pic to look at.

I think you have a magnesium deficiency and not nutrient burn.
That's why I pointed you in that direction so you could look those things up and understand why and decide for yourself.

If you have nutrient burn then you must cut your nutrients down but if its a deficiency then things are going to get worse not better by doing that..

Coco is almost inert, so I think more food at the correct ph (5.8-6.2, specifically slightly over 6 for magnesium uptake) will help.
The CEC of coco would help you understand why magnesium and calcium deficiencies might occur especially in new coco.
A bottle of calmag is often a coco growers best friend, although not all of us need to use it, dependant on water source.
But you can foliar feed Epsom salts for extra magnesium as a fix for just magnesium def.
Better to increase nutrients to start with though based on the pale overall appearance.

Yes thank you.. this was my first thought.. deficiencies..

What’s worse? Burn from over nutes..

Other people may differ on opinion on that question.
But I would say you can always correct a deficiency on young plants, but nutrient burn can soon fry a seedling.
