DWC Bucket dried out :(

Hiya
As per title. Made the mistake of not checking for a day and when i did she was pretty wilted, bucket was empty and the roots ever so slightly damp. DIfficult to say how long the bucket had been empty, maybe 24 hours.
6 weeks into an 11 week flowering period. Im hopeful she will recover, the wilting hadnt reached the top of the plant and the leaves were limp but but not completely dried to a crisp.
Has anyone else had this before? What happened? Yes I have googled it and people have rescued plants, just thought i would ask here too!
Cheers

I had a few dry rock wool cubes and wilted plants. Brought one back from the brink. Got a heat wave here and had it happen again, what I did before was add some beneficial bacteria and micros and give a good water. Will see if it works..

If they don't perk up the first day you are screwed. Once the leaves have wilted and drooped they may not come back 100%.

no offense, but if you have to check your reservoir everyday that's not DWC, more like SWC...

good luck
Nah not every day but the time when i decided to skip checking was when the bucket dried up - bad timing!
Lights on in a few hours...fingers crossed, its pretty gutting to think one mistake can kill a plant. Live and learn I guess.

You mustn't have checked it for more than a day. Even a huge plant will only use about a gal/day.

Hopefully you checked the ppm before adding more nutes so it's not too high now. As the plants use water the ppm gets higher and higher as it becomes more concentrated. The pH also goes out of whack easily with the change in volume.

I've had plants dry right out worse than what you describe so other than losing a few leaves you should be OK.

Good luck.

My plants have used 3 gallons a day so huge is relative, I guess.

I ran 27 gallon tuffbox totes for tubsites to make sure there was always plenty of water.
