To be fair mega crop is a great product.

Yes. I'm normally against cannabis specific nutrients and all the additives.

Mega crop is affordable and a really good all in one nutrient.

I can see why they would extend thier line.

I think the extras aren't needed but some people want them.

you can read about my experience in the MC thread "been on RIU" . they were helpful in trying to troubleshoot which i give them credit.

pH stability after about 3 to 4 days is worst of any nute i've ever tried. my system is built so i can go away for days or weeks and it could not perform. it's my new lawn fertilizer now.

Not sure why it would be unstable after a few days.

What type of water do you use? Someone had a problem like that. May have been you. I don't remember.

depends. lol. sometimes it dropped into the 4's, sometimes rised into the high 6's.

i was hydro so maybe it's not as sensitive with soil?

Also growers like @HydroRed always grow nice plants regardless of nutes and other tests.

Works with my well water and is natural based. The water compatibility is key for me.

I hand water in coco so I don't run a rez. Might be a problem with DWC or any hydro with a holding tank. Also I run RO, not sure if that makes a dif.

Does the humic input seem to lessen salt buildup for you?

The farmers out here recommend a humic/seaweed mix to help with that. I have read it helps assimilate nutrients and unclog roots.

Yes. Seems to. It doesn't burn as easy as other nutes I've used. I've yet to have to flush a plant using it.

I mix it a little weaker than they suggest as well.

Partly because if something is working well the details of what water and other things are less important. It's working and that's all we want to know.

When it fails we wonder why. I've seen a number of users have success using it hydro.

I think it has to do with the type water used.

Maybe others are adjusting pH as they go.

Not all nutrients are pH stable.

Ill have to go back and read. I know people were using it hydro.

Use what works for you.

I bounce back and forth. I usually grow some in living soil then some I use bottled or dry mix nutrients. Then ones I grow with salt based nutrients I usually go back and forth between a few different one.

I'm not saying their base nutrients are not any good. I'm referring to additives like Sweet Candy. And labels with jelly beans and such. I've looked at MegaCrop. It looks like a decent product. It's basically calcium nitrate, monopottasium phosphate, a couple other sources of nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, and trace elements. It's basically what's in the VitaGrow I use except it's split into three parts with Vitagrow. Calcium nitrate, monopotassium phosphate, and trace elements with magnesium and sulfur. Allows you to adjust it to your needs. The MegaCrop is all you need. The Sweet Candy is just a money grab.

And can try it. I got the shipping only big sample sent a while ago.

Sold as a 1 part complete solution. Lol.

Then I guess you ignore all that and buy their bottled sugar/ Epsom salts (regular formula has plenty of mag already) and their bloom booster.

But they are so different than other nute companies.

I think the suggested feeding is a bit high.....but every nute company does that so they could sell as much as often as possible.

Yes that's the only weird tick in the whole deal. Although when I was in contact with GL they did tell me the MC would take them straight through to harvest. But they did offer the Bloom food for people who would like to use it. I think like any company their just trying to compete. So far their not nearly as bad as many of the others......fucking snake oil potions galore ....lol

I've been using the MC in one of my greenhouses. Shit is working awesome for me. No issues whatsoever and the girls seem happy. I'm guna run some on just MC all the way through to see for myself........proof is in the pipe I guess.

I honestly don't know them from anyone else WB. All I can say is they were super helpful outside of RIU and even doubled my order for nothing once they knew I was trying it out on a somewhat large scale. I'm not saying it's the best out there. I will say up to this point it's as good as I've personally seen and totally worth the money for a grower like me. In fact it saves me lots of money. However I'm not growing for plants that look pretty in vegg....lol ....I'm curious to see how it does in the end game. I'm guna let half the MC fed girls finish with just MC. The other half I'll do my normal thing at Bloom. Even if I used MC just for vegg I'd save enough money on nutes to do it. The customer service was good to.They answered all my emails and questions quick. They shipped my shit stupid fast to get me going last minute.We all know how much of an ass I can be...lol

I don’t have bad feelings for the company. They sent me a reasonably priced sample.

Just saying they are a nute company and they want to sell more and more. There is no other goal. Doesn’t make it bad. I was a sales manager for my career. Just that it’s just a nute choice and there are many variables to our success with it.

For ex. I use well water and good potting soil. I don’t need unneeded silica raising my mediums ph. Or all the additives in addition to the base nutes every feeding.

I also would like too add that I have had great success with my chosen nutes and sometimes things go really bad. It’s always user error or environmental in my experience.

I will try it. I am really shy to make changes. Every time I have problems I am able to get back on track with what I have.

one thing i did notice this last run with the cyto plus is that i used a fair bit less of GH maxibloom. i normally run about 4 to 4.5 grams per gallon during late veg and most of bloom. i was able to get by with just 3g/gal. from what ii've read, the fulvic/humics are supposed to help with nute uptake. so not sure if that's what i was seeing or these last strains didn't need much. just a heads up if you do try out the bio ag stuff.

That is what I have read about humics. Fulvic is a smaller molecule and is supposed to be better for hydro. Humic for soil.

Also and the bio ag likely has this. A certain ratio of humic to seaweed extract is said to make it work even better.
