a few guys in the indoor section who have switched from DE are saying same weight from less Watts and less heat. No bulb changers either. The fact that they're essentially one big light is what intrigues me the most.

Also, I reckon 300w would really struggle to cover a 1.2 tent. My strip light is 230 watts (about 250w draw) and it does a 3x3 (just I reckon). You could get the crop to the end in a 1.2 with 300w but you'll wish youd chucked a thowie in there when you saw the yeild you gave up. I wouldnt go less than 5 or 600 watts in a 1.2 but I'd probably go a touch more and then dim it at the driver if I had to
My stone cold heartwhat are you guys using as heatsinks on your strips?
How is the efficiency of that compared to using a regular heart ?My stone cold heart

Get one a decent kit for $525 off eBay or a 300 for $700 or the 550 which replaces a 1000w hid $1250... was thinking of hi par de but kinda want want a QB nowRuby, before you purchase a light for indoor, seriously look at QB's.
They do complete kits.
Because as soon as you have headroom up your sleeve there's better options I reckonI still don’t get why more guys aren’t replacing LED for HID watt for watt ?
Angle would be fine. I just have mine on 4mm aluminium sheet and so long as you make good contact it's fine. The aluminium sheet I used has that tread criss-cross pattern on one side so it looks fuckin awesome too@dopeonarope seriously though have you done anything special or do the strips not really need any heatsinks to perform.
i was thinking just mounting them to aluminium angle would probably do the trick since the running temp is so low anyway
That is really expensive for what you getGet one a decent kit for $525 off eBay or a 300 for $700 or the 550 which replaces a 1000w hid $1250... was thinking of hi par de but kinda want want a QB now
