day 78 no Amber Trchomes (Blue Critical )

Hello, this is my 1st post and also my 1st grow.
It's now day 78 with Blue Critical Auto (Dinafed) and no amber trichomes.
she is a very petite lady at 14 inches, early in life she was placed in a small pot and I dont think she was given enough light (sun). I am ok with a small plant as I use this as a learning experience. (better luck next time)
Most of her life was in a window and later placed outside.
Any advice as to time frames until I chop/wait?

The info on the website (dinafem) states 70-80 days. I guess that's just an estimate

is it unusual for an autoflower harvest guide to be off substantially? My "Blue Critical" states 70-80 days however it appears this plant is nowhere close to harvest and its been 78 days from germination.

PurpleB3rryKush suggested another 3 weeks (21days)..that's a substantial amount of time difference from the Dinafems guide.
78+21=99 days
How common is this????

None of your pics showed trich colours but jut the overall impression is you you have some weeks to go.

Amber is not the goal. Getting the majority nice and cloudy is prime time for harvest.

Sometimes just getting near finished plants out of the flower room is reason enough to crop plants.

3 weeks extra is not uncommon. I would imagine Autos would be more over the place than photo's.

The pistils will start turning brown and then start receding back into the flower, that's normally time to check trichs and chop. Keep in mind that allot of strains don't show amber.
Chopping even 2 weeks early could 1/2 your yield.

I was under the impression before I starting reading this forum that darkening orangish pistils were the telltale sign of harvest. I am very glad I came here and received a "good education" as the right way to grow & harvest! Now I understand amber trichomes is not necessarily a good thing.
I really appreciate the advice!

all amber trichomes do is provide a more sedative high. (CBN i think?)

If you want a sedative type effect then amber trichomes are good!
I want to try and keep my trichome ratios milkier than amber. Look at me, read this forum once and now I'm reading out loud my opinion..too funny. In all seriousness, I am just a newbie..great forum tho!

Buy yourself a nice jewelers loupe off of Amazon for $10.00 . This will also make you OCD and you will have to check your plants 20 times a day LMAO!

Actually not bugs, I had it placed beside an old (cut down Xmas tree) and the needles and general plant debris has covered the plant. I tried using a paintbrush to clean her up but she is so sticky however I did get 99% of the Perlite off...haha

I agree She does need a thorough cleaning. I watched a video of a guy using "Real Lemon" Concentrate with "Baking Soda" soaked (approx 30 sec) in 5-gallon buckets of water.
Other methods or is this the acceptable standard?

i don't suggest wetting your buds period.
use tweezers. small paintbrush maybe? i don't know. get creative. just don't wet your buds, it will more then likely end up in mold/mildew, which is even worse then smoking tree sap.
