Water quality question

I hear that. I live in Saskatchewan and our winters are measured by how many layers of clothing ...not temperature. You look outside in the morning and think...."hmmm...looks like it's gonna be a one pair of long john underwear and 3 pairs of socks kinda day" haha
I love running DWC in the winter in my cabin. Cold but warm in the tent and res problems are non-existent using the water I haul. I exhaust the tent hot air right next to my ceiling fan warm the cabin

Fuck that noise.

And that.

I much prefer a nice onshore tropical breeze.

Once it's cold enough that I have to worry about my beer freezing, I'm no longer interested.
Last winter wasn't bad but the winter before it hit -60 at my place. I had insulated boots I put on to go to my unheated outhouse and the fuckers cracked open. Only rated for -40. Now I have Baffins good to -185. Like any human would ever try that

Funny you mentioned that. I was just thinking about venting my tent in the winter. I'll be setting up my tent in my basement and venting outside for the summer. But come winter...it'll get cool in that room so I think I'll vent directly into the room to re-use the heat. I've also got a furnace duct in the room but just being a basement...it's always a little cooler than my main floor which is usually about 74

Did your dick freeze and break off?

Did your piss freeze before it hit the ground?

It takes a special kind of masochist to live in places like that.

winter can be nice, if you have a lot of fire wood cut, a lot of weed curing, a nice ice fishing house, a couple cases of beer in the garage, and a big window to look at it all from, while you're wearing sweats fresh from the drier, drinking irish coffee, and working on a bowl

ps, when i was a kid in mn., piss would freeze into a puddle on the ground like a big yellow lump from a cave....and you're right, i don't want to live in that anymore

watch your humidity if you vent back into the room, may need to run a dehui to keep it under control

Your piss doesn't freeze like a stream but shit stacks like a stalagmite. You dress in layers, no cotton ever. In fact you can easily overdress and sweat.
My grandfather taught at the University in Fairbanks when my dad was a kid. I remember their stories and I intend to never find myself in such a place, no matter what the attraction. I still have one of the jackets they wore and got handed down to me.

I live in Colorado and it's been known to get cold here. Not that cold and certainly never for that long.

I've lived and worked in Ft. Collins, Aurora, Durango and the San Luis Valley. The SLV hit -40 occasionally but not like this. I live near Nenana.

I came here to grow for a guy. I had no idea he was nuts. He had a bottle of boner pills, a taste for crack and crack whores and in less than 2 months had warrants out. He fled. Or tried to. The Canucks refused him entry into Yukon and the Alaska State Troopers were trying to find him for fleeing. Last I heard from him he had gotten to Anchorage and flew to Mexico. Now I'm pretty much stuck. Social Security etc. But it ihs what it is.

Good news is it's summer. Can't sleep because it never gets dark and the mosquitoes won't leave you alone!

My well water tests at about PH 8 and is full of minerals, so I started using "better" water as everyone suggested, low ppm perfect PH etc.
For the last 2 months I've used my "crappy" well water and truthfully see no difference what so ever growing in soil. Good soil can help buffer the negative effects of a number of cannabis growing issues.

hence why most soil growers don't check ph.

It's not just pH that can be an issue. I tried using well water at a client's house setting up a legal medical grow in New Mexico. Extremely poor results from the start. I assumed since he was drinking it that it was good. Took my meter one day and found the PPM was in excess of 800. Checked from multiple taps. I sprinkled a packet of yeast on some and it never became active. Hauled water from a kiosk. And he went on dialysis a year later.
