Switching to LED from HPS

I'm also looking at QB for the flowering tent, shipping price was an issue when I first looked into them. Be a fantastic summer option for me.
The results people are seeing with them are fantastic.

I agree. I may get some for next summer but it just wasn't needed this year, other things wanting my dollars an Its already easy peasy to keep cool for me just running aircooled hoods an moving lots of air

Your assumption good quality with GPS is exactly why I think your a shit grower who never figured out how to use hps.

Small growers are a indication of exactly where their limit is... you see how that works right? If they were better they could go bigger. But they can't. Instead they have to try to feel good somehow like saying they get such amount per watt. I'd rather pull several lbs an not give a damn about my Gpw ratio... it's also proven to be easier to get higher gpw in small cabs. Just like its easier to grow 1 strain than 5. Or easier to grow a couple plants than a couple dozen.

Small tent growing is not just a skill here its an art form, with my tent as a blank canvas i make van goghs sunflowers look like paint by numbers, i weave plants together better than the finest of threads in a persian rug, if you look closely Will.i.am is actually a clone from my veg tent that got very popular with black suburban and white trash people...

I know you feel that way now, but if you spend a few years doing it in rooms then somebody trys shittalking you who's still doing a small grow, I can guarantee you'll know exactly what I mean... it's like middle school, we were all there once middleschoolers also know every damn thing come to think of it lol

I've been there, having to figure out how to pull a lb out from under a card table, lights strapped to the bottom an a blanket to keep light out. I get it, it feels fun.

But its different than doing things on a bigger scale. Just like I'm never gonna tell someone doing a 20 light what to do, cuz they are on a level above me, dispo grower etc.

Your skill is judged on the health of your plants not the size of your grow here or the person with the biggest plants would be the only one handing out advice and we'd all be mutes.

Either way less of the small grower slander, thats about 90% of the site now legal limits are in

You know just as well as I do even somebody who's never grown a single plant but has "read a lot" hands out advise like candy on Halloween an thinks it's good as gold. That's the problem in a nutshell..

My god the ignorance is worse than I thought. A small grower may remain a small grower due to space limitation.. not skill limitation. A successful 600hps 3x3 is easily scaled up to to a successful 3x12 1800 hps, space permitted. This isn't speaking from ''what I've read''. Would I feel comfortable running 5k? yes. Space? no.

What you obviously fail to see is that ''home grower logistics'' are not the same as ''industrial logistics''. Any decent home grower could go from 3x3 to 3x9 or what ever the space makes applicable. Just as a 3x12 lane grower can easily drop to a single 3x3 tent grow. If you can't dial in a 3x3 then you can't dial in a 3x9, vice verse. Naturally part of the dial in requires an understanding on up or down scaling environment control.

20 lights isn't that many. If you could draw the W and get away with it.. using multiple rooms treated as individual grows will do it.. but you know, ''grower skill limitations''.

On a true industrial level you are getting into things most home growers have not began to consider. You are not an industrial grower so sorry mate, welcome to amateur vill, where you are no better than the rest of us simply for using a little more W.

And btw, scaling up and having to use more plants does not take ''more skill''.. it takes ''more work''.. go figure, you forgot to scale up man power .

Maybe someday I'll get to be near a real plant, I've only seen mexi brick schwag an 1/8 at a time when my friend sells it to for for 50$

Dont take offence and think longer term, we disagree on one thread and agree on another no big deal. I try not to offend ot name call but my race of people are some stubborn dry humoured fuckers so i dont come across like i mean to sometimes/allthetimes.

Im only just getting good enough with the science and info to directly challenge leds here, its not so much a question of wether im right but they are wrong.

I asked simple scientific questions to which they couldnt or wouldnt reply, debate over till someone with real knowledge and leds shows up on this site and wants to talk real world stuff not this constant cob crap.

This stuff is more aimed at those who just want to disagree against leds and watch them be unable to compute. Ppfd is like one fith of the truth behind light, they dry humped this and have got it wrong so many time now because its far from the full science.

If this were startrek they would be classed as a lower species and we shouldnt interfere with their technological develolments, one day when they reach lightspeed we will undoubtedly make first contact

Led or cmh is the only option, hps is too hot, cant grow plants. Old tech. Only people who are stuck in the past use hps.
Hps wastes the little light it produces. LEDs are perfect, any wattage of led outperforms any wattage of hps and cheap.
Burple is good, just give it a chance, i have a viperspectra an love it.
A apollo 8 is a good light and totally worth buying 2 of to replace a 600 watt hps.
