Air conditioner INSIDE my veg is that ok

I just had to quickly throw together a veg room
I haveba 400 watt MH
The room is like 10x10.

I have ZERO ventilation.
So of course I also have 94 degree Temp's
I'm trying to work on some type of ventilation but I'm on a budget of -50 dollars.

I did have a window ac unit that I thought would fit in the window.
I thought wrong by a few inches if that.

So I did the next best thing as far as I could tell

I put a box in the room then stacked 2 milk crates on thatthen put the AC unit on the milk crates.

This has me nervous for the obvious fall over reason.
I can fix that with bungie cords I think.

But will having the cold air blowing down onto my hood from less than 4 feet away cause me moisture issues?
Will I get condensation on my build or the glass plate?
Will the constant battle of hot air and cold air create q hurricane in my room!!!!????
I'm kind of worrying.
I love in the south so it's hot as balls all the time right now.
It's like 85 outside at night whole my lights on
90-104 during the day when lights off.
So the air conditioner is crucial
And it just plain won't fit in my window.
Is my quick fix going to work ? I'm really out of other places to have this veg room.

Be careful that ac looks old some of them off gas dangerous fumes and you will need to exaust the heat out of the room or it wont cool down it may even heat up, my ac does fit in my window so i have it in front of my window so the heat can exaust and my room is a constant 70-75 from 80-90

Well I ram into my first issue already lol
So when the ac was just sitting in there I was adding more heat as it had nowhere to exhaust.
So I rigged it into the window as best I could.
There is still a 1 inch gap
But I stuffed a towel and some cardboard around it
It kinda sorta fits....

So it's ok to hqve an ac in the room with the light like that then

No vinyl siding and old shiplap
Not sure what that is but my landlord was all excited to keep saying it's got shiplap all over

Gonna have my handyman come over and look at it he may be able to get me together

Still gonna check on that wall installation tho
Much appreciation

You're in a basement? A decent basement should never fall below ground temps (50F). What you really need is exhaust. Grab a piece of 1/2in plywood, cut it to fit the basement window. Then go buy some ducting, a sleeve, and an exhaust fan. (a cover for outside as well so it appears to be just a dryer vent)
Cut a hole in the plywood to fit the sleeve. You can go with 4, 6, or 8 inch. Your light looks like it takes a 6 inch
Hook everything up and you should be good to go. Exhausting air is more important than intake. Oscillating fans should give you plenty of passive air flow, especially if you're exhausting the heat.
If you find you need more control over heat and humidity you can always grab a portable AC and exhaust it the same way.

The room design forum guys can break this down a bit better than I can. I'm not feelin all that great this morning and have very few brain cells firing

Shiplap is a type of wooden board used commonly as exterior siding in the construction of residences, barns, sheds, and outbuildings.
Your handyman should have no trouble with cutting through.
With that heat I imagine you've got humidity issues also.I'm in the same boat. If you do get the AC to vent outside it will help get your RH down but be careful.
That hot air and moisture you vent outside is going to smell like weed, especially during flowering.

is that necessary if he already has a window to use? Maybe I misunderstood the OP

His window is too small (I think) so he's talking about a wall mount for the AC.
If the windows too big just get a piece of plywood and mount that to the sill and cut a hole for the AC.
The AC in the photo looks kind of old. You could look around for a smaller refurbished or used unit.

The ac unit is smallest I have.
When I went in this am to check my temps it's at 75

Ideally I'll get a 6 inch squirrel fan to hook up in there but for now this is beat I can do.

I see. You didn't say in OP but the pics kinda resembled a basement.

I'm on the east coast and hoping this heatwave breaks soon.

I thought I had my bad.
It's a utility room it has q very small window in it
It's the room my hot water heater is in

I was and am mainly worried about the bulb and condensation
I'm having to check the temps every half hour or so trying to get the dial adjusted right
I walk in and the thermometer says 77
But it's freaking chilly in there
The thermostat is an elcheapo

Tonight when flower room goes on I'll throw my good thermostat in there.

I'm about to go see about removing the casing see if thwt will allow it to snug into the window.
Really appreciate all the input
Helps my brain fire in new ways

If you can afford a Portable A/c, they only need a 6" Duct to exhaust hot air. You can get a cheap one second hand if you look around.
No sadly I am completely broke
Purchasing anything new has tp wait.
Still need about 6 feet of 6 in ducting for my flower room.
At this point I just need plants to stay alive
Maintaining 78-84 temps with the light on and ac on med
Going to turn it down to low setting once light goes off as that water heater in there keeps it hot

Going to have my maintenance guy
Install a dryer vent in that room
So I can then hook up a fan to exhaust.

But for now I gotta work with what I have on hand

New plan
I just got finished using can foam around the ac unit to seal it in
Then I made a large plastic door for both sides of the door larger than the frame.
It's 8 heavy duty restaurant dish pit trash bags
Taped them together with medical tape ( it was big and what o had)
You can clearly see the room sucking in the bags.

I took some screws and cardboard squares and screwed the plastic sheet up on the inside
Putting a screw about every 9-12 inches
I put cardboard squares between the screw head and the plastic to keep it from being ripped out.
Then I got some guerrilla tape and taped it up even more so it's totally sealed other than the bottom of the door.
All I can do about that is I have a little overhang so it will have to pull thru a lotta plastic before it can suck in any air or light.

Tomorrow I am switching lights and rooms fuckitall
