Germination under light?

I've done it both ways.
In nature it happens all the time.

Not sure how the seed vendors will react though if you try to get replacement seeds so its worth hearing what others have to say on the subject

I have them in peat pellets inside the plastic dome they come with. I figure they won't get much light until they break through the peat and by then they need light anyways so I think it should be ok.

If they are in pellets, they will need the heat from the light (or heat mat) to germinate. So technically they are in the dark (in pellet).

Im not going to talk you out of tge dome because you might have a reason for it.

Humidity is a little low in my tent. I'm gonna have to spray my pants but with the dome under the light it seems to keep inside the dome pretty humid.

When I use a dome on a clone
I spray inside the lid but not the clones.

Caution with the dome. Once they're up remove it or risk damping off. A CFL is more than enough light.
