How does stress increase THC and trichrome production? I'm sure you've done tons of side by sides and research to share such valuable info. I'd love to hear your findings.

Might be new but don't mean can't give my thoughts but glad to know that you know the information is out there and I must disagree because theres people who said they seen a significant difference in there buds when they tried some of the things, i never claimed to have tried them all stated the ones I have tried doe and the ones I plan on trying and like I said my theory came from other people grow never said I was the maker of these techniques

I got a strain thats gets a little weird when stressed and seems more potent bud the bag appeal is NOT there lol. Ive had ither strains stress and throw mad seeds. Othe strains with different environmental steesses did all different things.. genetics, evironment DIFFERENT VARIABLES CHEEZE WIZ!

Lol so I see your back and now you want to start asking constructive questions but like I said other people on this got damn website have had success with some of the techniques and I explained it in the thread how you improve the potency remember you compared it to a tiger and cub but the more tichromes you have the potent you buds if you disrupt the flow of nutrients like disrupting the flow of hormones with a even canopy makes her plant form more tichromes which hold everything like THC that makes your plant more potent

Absolutely correct different plants have different effects to some stress I really was just trying to give a eye opener to the growers who scared to do anything cause they think the plant might hermie
 
We'd hear these kinds of "secrets" from customers all the time at the hydro shop. None ever were grounded in sound botany & anytime someone brought me a bud to show how "improved" it was I didn't notice anything special. No increased potency, aroma, x factor. In my own experience there was no qualitative difference between bud grown SOG or LST/super cropped.

All the power to ya but don't fall into the trap of relying on subjective opinion. Do some quantifiable tests to prove thw theory or let it die.

Too many beginners get distracted by these kinds of side tangents instead of focusing on practical horticulture to improve their crops. Proper climate, feeding, harvesting & curing is a much easier way to improve over untested theories generally created by people with a poor understanding of botany/horticulture.

I agree never said go and try all these super stoner myths which I know there are I was just stating some techniques do work and that you don't have to be so afraid of hurting your plant so you just let it grow naturally which hurts yield
 
Which techniques do you have proof increase quality/potency by stressing plants?

I have yet to see any evidence that anything you mentioned (lst, sipper cropping, splitting stems\nails in stems, etc) increase potency. I would consider those all myths that aren't supported by science, just vociferously defended theories based on subjective experiences. Which in my experience doesn't pan out. A lot of growers work in isolation, "all my friends say this is the best dope ever" is a very common line from growers because they lack context. Any homegrown seems great compared to commercial. I think this is what creates the illusion that these techniques work, that and some are inherited. Like the nail through the stem, I believe that was mentioned in "how to grow your own stone". I've never seen anything to back that opinion up though, just other people who agree with that opinion.

If you have any studies to show the increase caused by stress I'd love to read them. From the first couple & the last page of this thread I'm guessing you're just defending your opinion based on what you've read.
