Harvesting Soon?

I have two strains so going to keep each strain to a separate post in this thread.
This is my first grow so be kind :)

Strain 1:
Early Amnesia CBD 9.5%THC 11%CBD with a 60 day flowering time.

Currently at 45 days flowering. Tested two buds and they smoke really nice. Great energetic buzz.
Looking at the pistils I am a long way off ready but when I look at the trichromes a lot are cloudy.
My guess is that I still have 2 weeks off based on the trichromes.
Thoughts?

Strain 2
Dutch Treat CBD (4% THC, 8% CBD) 9 to 10 weeks flowering.

Also at 45 days flowering. Tested bud and takes great. Solid less energetic buzz with good pain reduction.

Looking at pistils still 3 weeks off and trichromes support this.

Any thoughts?

By the way discovered Android App (Digital Microscope Zoom Camera HD by StrongApp) and found it gives pretty good closeup images.

At least a month.
I wish I could remember my source but I cant, anyway i think cbd is one of the last compounds to really develop.
Don't rush it

You’ve got a hot minute before they’re done. Like char face said I’d go with at least four more weeks.

Thanks all for the input.
The message here is "patience grasshopper". bongsmilie
Will leave them another month.
charface: I have seen the reference on CBD being the last to develop so know what you mean.

So still have 3-4 weeks left of flower. Am a little worried that I have quite a bit of yellowing. I have really held off the feeding but should I be giving them a little feed to get them through?

I can now see why you said another 4 weeks.

Yes...a light fertilization...yellowing shouldn't scare you...think of it as "ripening" not yellowing.
In cooler temperatures you can even get some red
in the leaves.

Thanks for the help.

Trying to avoid the newbie mistakes of over watering and over feeding. I will give them a very light feed.

Sounds like your going in the right direction.. When you get closer to harvest the leaves will turn on you and possibly be dryish,, even fall off. Just signs the plant is getting closer to harvest for you. The ladies are putting all their energy to those great buds for you at the end so the leaves themselves take a backseat. They look great , Nice job!
(I am in no way a pro, many other people are well more qualified. I just am sharing things I learned while researching)

What a difference 12 days made. Took a small sample of the Dutch Treat CBD. Nice body stone. Way more potent that the June 30 sample. Still got more time to go. A lot of clear trichromes still.

I put the sample in bell jar with silica dessicant. It sucks the water out in about 12 hours. I wouldnt call it properly dry but dry enough to sample.

OK so I am looking at some input more on my method for determining the readiness.
This is my early amnesia. I did a rough count and approximately 40-50% of my pistils have darkened. I am seeing a lot of cloudy trichromes. I see some clear but not many?
For this strain I dont want a lot of CBN as I would like to keep the energizing effects of this strain.

Am I reading this correctly? I am thinking it is pretty close (5 days off)

Here is the Dutch Treat CBD Strain.
Based on pistils looking at 30-40% darkened. My trichromes are still not cloudy.
For this strain I want a more sedating/mellowing effect and higher CBD and CBN.

Am I reading this correctly? I am thinking it is 2 or possibly 3 weeks off.

I wouldn’t judge it strictly off the tricomes, the leaves and pistols tell a lot about maturity, looks like you still got a week or two, I’ve been experimenting with my buds and have found the smell just keeps getting better the more mature it is. They will continue to swell as they mature. Don’t get antsy. You’ve still got a lot of white pistols. Just my .02
