Only two scottys, 4 rods at all times here.My best friend and I have a 29' custom welded aluminum landing craft that we run 4 Scotty's on. He's got a key fob he wears around his neck & can control steering with it.
He runs the back two, I run the front two & when a rod hit's we just hand it off to the nearest "guest".
Much easier than trying to teach a newb to run a rigger & then I do "mate" bleeding & boxing the fish.
It's one hell of a fishing partnership - more like Piscatoris poetry in motion.
Only a 20’ custom weld, plus a doghouse. Not enoughh room for 4 downriggers out back.
Tried out the shuttle hawks today for the stacker rods. Didnt really like it, went right back to clipping them on the downrigger line like regular.
