Transplant shock or toxicity

Hey everyone second time grow here and and having some issues. My first grow was an outdoor grow and I learnt nearly every problem the hard way but came good at the end of it all. This time round growing indoors first time something went wrong with my transplant and for some reason my plant is still in shock 2 and a half days later and now I’m starting to get worried.

Strain is unknown but sativa dominant, this time round I supercropped and topped the plant , I’ve been supplementing co2 with the yeast and sugar method and my plant is so bushy (if someone can give me pruning tips for really bushy plants I’d appreciate it heaps) .

Anyways first time growing indoors in soil I’m using mar hydro 600watt led true watts 258 and my plant had some calMag deficiency’s and led light burns but corrected all that before transplant.

I transplanted into some decent organic soil and per light mix mixed with eggshells and some Epsom salts, but I think the issue could be I transplanted when the plant was pretty dry and wilting , I soaked the pot but not to the point of having any decent runoff. I also put the plant straight back under the LED thinking it would be fine which I think now was a bad idea.

Anyways I’m sure I’ve fucked up in a few ways and was hoping for some help on how to fix it , ive attached some before and after photos about 5 days apart. The plant went into pre flower about 2 weeks ago but I don’t want to switch it to flower till I get it healthy again. Cheers for any advice and help.

The plant is overwatered, over-loved and you are going to kill it. The roots may be drowned somewhat and it may require some time to recover.

Let it dry out until the pot is light weight when you lift it. Then:

1. WATER from the tap,
2. Let it DRY out, by weight,
3. REPEAT step 1

Until it looks better.

The co2 thing you are doing is bullshit, eggshells take a long time to break down, stop everything except water, dry, and plenty of light.

Do you have drainage holes in that thing? Drill some, if not. Maybe drill some small holes up the sides, too, just a few, for better oxygenation of the roots.

Thanks for your reply , I only watered it because I thought u needed to give it a good soak when transplanting it , I let it dry out before transplanting too and had no issues with this pot with my last grow so the pot or the medium shouldn’t be the problem right?

Nope, probably not. Really do relax about all the supplements, they aren’t likely helping you in any measurable way. It is possible you added too much epsom to the soil, but I wouldn’t stress about it, just water sensibly and watch.

Maybe you just got her too wet this one time, all good. It looks like a vigorous little plant, might get a good yield out of it. Don’t bother with epsom salt or eggshells or especially CO2, which requires a sealed system to be effective. Get the fundamentals down first. Just a fast-growing houseplant, no magic or special bullshit involved. Do you have a fertilizer plan for flower? Cheers, and happy growing!

I legit just went outside into my storeroom
and stabbed holes all around the pot. I’ve been looking into some feeding schedules and being in Aus the best thing I can get from Bunnings that is a hydro nute which can also be used in soil medium is AG-GROW grow and bloom so I’m going to start hitting it with the grow when it recovers for a couple weeks feeding every second or third water and then hit it with the bloom when I eventually switch it to flower. How long till the plant recovers from the overwatering/ transplant ?

I am still stuck on the epsom salt thing. How much did you put in the soil?

I've seen it used as foliar or dissolved and added in with nutrients...

C02, or from my understanding anyways, is really only usable when you've your environment perfectly tuned or close too it, and when all other factors have been utilized to their maximum capacity. But I could be wrong there! I'm gonna guess that since it's your second indoor grow, you probably don't have all of your environment dialed in (who does on their second grow lol), I wouldn't worry that much about adding co2 to the air...it definitely looks overwatered, but it may be a combo of shock and too much water. If you do what Michael Hunterz said you should be fine. 2 and a half days isn't long at all for it tor recover. Now if it is still in shock a week or so later, there may be an issue...

The good part is.. your shits was looking pretty good before so you probably just made a fixable mistake

My transplant technique.. I mostly have grown in coco (a couple dirt grows but went back pretty quick) I usually wait until the plant is dry.. ready to get some water.. because it will come out of its container easier. I get my medium ready.. moist but not wet (when I clone I like my coco wet but not transplant). I make hole in medium then remove the plant from current container. I put the plant over the hole and pour my phd nutrient mix directly over the dry roots until the roots are completely saturated then put the plant in the hole and fill around. I throw that shit directly back under the lights and leave it alone until the container is light again and then I water around the outside of container.

Keep the shit simple..

That is almost exactly how I do it. I really never see transplant stress, either.

Cheers mate, she’s doing a lot better now I’ll put up some photos but really doesn’t do it justice, tbh its only at about 70% healthy atm I’d say, I haven’t watered since the transplant so nearly 13 days and the pot still has some weight to it, I can see through some of the holes I’ve poked all around the pot and can see some roots so that’s a good sign the roots are spreading out. What I found strange though is even in the state it was in it still kept growing and new shoots and leaves popping up everywhere , I had to prune a heap of leaves and smaller shoots and did some LSTing tryna get her in better shape before I put her under a scrog and rid of the useless stuff and create better airflow. I’m still getting some light bleaching from my mars hydro LED even though it’s at the recommended 2foot above canopy so I was wondering if I should raise it and by how much? (Mars hydro 600watt LED, 258 true watts in a 2x2 homemade grow tent) Do you think the plant will grow as fast if I raised the light ? I don’t mind stretch i think that would benefit me for filling up the scrog. The same strain outdoors stretched triple the size when it went into flower last year.

This plant has taken some shit though as I’m learning the training techniques indoors before the outdoor season here in Australia.

This was it on June 20th when I had just supercropped the 2 main beaches from when I topped the main cola. As soon as it’s healthy again I reckon it will definetly be big enough to flip and fill out the 2x2

Flushed my plant today after all the signs of zinc lockout and after my pot had finally dried up , I was PHing my water to 6.5 and my PH was coming out at 5 , 60 litres of water later and got it perfect again. Do you think this was caused by the over watering or the potting mix with dynamic lifter in it ? Anyways what kind of damage can I expect this to have on the plant in the future as it’s still in veg ?

Probably both Newbie...just make sure you don't overfeed and re-toxify your rootzone. It should recover fine.
