Yeah, the curling leaves you mention is a sign that the first feeding you gave it was a bit too much. Just plain PH'd water till that goes away. I think you will be rewarded with some finished product from this girl if you are careful and follow the advice given here. It's interesting how much each member of the group cares about the other growers even though we are mostly strangers. They have saved me before including this year when my girls got Septoria. The diagnosis came from HotRodHarley and the copper wash suggested by Beachwalker cured the problem that had resisted three other treatments! I am a grateful member!I was thinking about giving just water the next 2 or 3 times and I'm not sure I haven't got that far yet. I'll look online for something I could get to measure it
I am too! Everyone has been way more helpful than I could have ever hoped so for that I thank all of you! I'm going to keep giving it plain water until it looks a little better (maybe until the end) but right now I havent really seen any improvements.Yeah, the curling leaves you mention is a sign that the first feeding you gave it was a bit too much. Should I give it nutrients the next time I water it?Specwin,
They will need some nutrition. I have no doubt. Something with a balanced NPK. Probably within the week.
Make sure you're letting the soil dry properly before waterings.
Just play it by eye.Should I give it nutrients the next time I water it?
Thank you for your help!!!!!!!!! I will be updating the thread every few days or so if I canJust play it by eye.
If you're seeing more improvement after water. Water it again.
If you're not seeing improvement after water. Then give it a light feed.
Make sure your letting the soil dry properly in between.
Good luck.
Keep us all updated.
Yes YES and Yes You should feed it now regardless of when you watered it last. Need to get some magnesium in there also. Since its in flower I wouldnt go overboard on the nitrogen though. Get some microbes in there to help also.Should I give it nutrients the next time I water it?
Alright!! I'm sure it's frustrating for someone who knows what they're doing to watch me not see that it needs food when it's so obvious to you. I'mma give it some food with the water tomorrow then, thanks!Yes YES and Yes You should feed it now regardless of when you watered it last. Need to get some magnesium in there also. I dont understand of this talk about my plant is starving and so I'm just going to feed it plain water.
What do I need to do to give it microbes though I don't really understand where they come fromAlright!! Microbes process / breakdown minerals and make them available to the plant. You can buy them in the hydro stores/online I like the raw brand myself. Compost tea. Most of these plant deficiencies that people post about wouldnt happen if they rocked some microbes every week. Just a tiny pinch would do wonders dont need to apply alot just enough so you know you have some working in there for you. You need to study up on microbes. What do I need to do to give it microbes though I don't really understand where they come from
Kind of its frustrating that they told you what to do two weeks ago then you post about just giving it water to see what happens and nobody jumps in to tell you to feed them. wtfAlright!! I tries to tell him two weeks ago his plant was starving and needed much more than just FF Big Bloom. Which is just a bottle of brown liquid nothing.Kind of its frustrating that they told you what to do two weeks ago then you post about just giving it water to see what happens and nobody jumps in to tell you to feed them. wtf
Microbes as used in growing weed usually refers to the helpful bacteria that helps to break down elements into the components the plant can best use. These are best sourced from natural simple elements: Compost is the first choice. I also use natural sources of kelp, fish emulsion and molasses. Bacteria in the soil break these down into the basic chemicals the plant can use. Natural sources are more safely absorbed by the plant (it's hard to overfeed with natural sources) whereas chemical ferts. are easily over dosed causing it to burn roots to which the plant presents it's natural defense to not absorb ANY nutrients until the PH imbalance AT THE ROOTS evens out. Lockout, is a condition where something has caused the soil to go out of balance (usually from an improper PH of feed water) which prevents the plant from being able to absorb nutrients regardless of how much you give it. In fact, the cure is to starve the plant for a bit, (say no feed for a week or two) while you work on stabilizing the PH of the soil. This is usually done by careful adjustment of the feed water's PH. Get a tank large enough to hold a couple of waterings worth of water. Fill it and let it sit for a day or two to let the chlorine blow off. Then check the PH of EACH WATERING CAN FULL FOR EACH LOAD. Don't try to PH the tank of water, the up/down chemicals won't keep the water balanced, it bleeds off. You must balance each watering can full, one at a time. Don't be surprised if the PH value jumps a little up and down when you put the exact same number of drops of PH (down that is, most water is too alkaline and needs to adjusted DOWN from the near 8 to a range between 5.25 and 6.75 that cannabis likes) I'm willing to bet your problem is about PH of the feed water not about how much food the plant has had. Its had enuf if you did what you said soooooo I'm sticking with PH imbalance since this plant has not improved much in the weeks we have been looking at it.What do I need to do to give it microbes though I don't really understand where they come from
