Yeah, hydro makes for sad plants...I find that hydro is the way to go, so can I poison my plants much faster. In soil, its been known to take me up to 3 months to get detrimental nutrient toxicity, but with Hydro, I'm easily able to euthanize an entire batch of clones, in a matter of days.
I dont think this is a fair example. Because with cfls the ones closest to the bulb will do the best, and the hydro ones will grow more during the end of veg and the stretch. If we had individual tables scrogged out I maybe able to tell a differance toward the end of flower but not before.Yeah, hydro makes for sad plants...
Guess which of these plants is in soil, which are in coco and which are in rockwool?
There are nine, good luck.

That’s my tent, about four days ago. Three plants in coco, two in soil, four in rockwool.
You’re a fucking idiot, and an asshole. Try choosing one at a time.
I was just pointing out that they are all quite healthy, equally so in soil and hydro. There are 570 watts of LED also, out of frame, the CFL are there for a little warm color because my leds are too blue. But I hear your criticism, for sure, you have a point.I dont think this is a fair example. I ran hydro about a year, a 10x10 room. Loved it. Plenty of good to say about it.Except there are 570 watts of LED also, out of frame, the CFL are there for a little warm color because my leds are too blue. @vostok prefers the flavor of soil-grown but I won’t argue with him even though I think that’s psychosomatic, he is entitled to that opinion. It is based in his personal experience entirely and can’t be refuted. I won’t argue against it. But some folks just make shit up and parrot things they hear with no defensible basis in fact or experience.
You have plenty of experience in both cases to form an opinion as to your preference, without feeling the need to tell everyone else they are doing it wrong. I respect the heck out of that.I ran hydro about a year, a 10x10 room. Loved it. Plenty of good to say about it.
Its hands down faster in veg no doubt. Easily grows a large plant. But soon as you get to flower I think theres a little trade off. It's not huge but I think its there. I think in a lot of ways soil allows a flexability hydro doesn't. I know I could never do with hydro what I'm doing with soil right now as far as plant mobility and storage
I wanna be a special snowflake one dayYou have been misinformed, everything in this post is incorrect. “Real farmer?” - do you think you have a monopoly on being a farmer here? Wake the fuck up, bud, you are just another meatbag like everyone else.
Repeat after me.
- “I am not a special snowflake.”
- “I don’t know everything.”
- “I will stop making false claims of knowledge immediately and permanently.”
You could draw a picture of what you wanna be when you grow up...what am I supposed to draw from a side by side with no variable control?
What a load of bull.
For me its getting my hands on the nutes for DWC...here thats almost impossibleThe hydro table I have now cost almost nothing to set up.
Some cheap polyester batting to cover the bottom of the 2x4 hot water geyser drip tray.
Some panda film to cover the tops, and a few 4" rock wool cubes and plugs to get them started, a cheapo pump will do and a plastic tub to catch the water again on the outlet of the tray, oh and a timer. A cycle timer is nice, but any old timer can be used. Probably not even 5 dollars in materials if you have a few odd items around the house already.
I'm just following the instructions on the FLora trio bottles' pamphlet.
