The guy sounded pretty clear to me.
Dont put ethonol IN anything you're going to vape.
Meaning, dont go putting drops of ethonol into a ready to smoke cartridge just to try to make it less thick.

I tried the alcohol method of evaporating then addix pg/vg (70/30) and (50/50), both times the black oil kept seprating. Straining it out the remaining juice was vapable but not as potent as i hoped. Is the black stuff all the cannaboids?
Would cooking it in water bath of vg and straining 1 or 2 times help absorb the oil and become more potent?
Please help i dont wana waste all this hard work.

Hey been reading this tread and noticed you used peg400 to mix ur concentrate. Is pg/vg the reason why it would seperate? Heating it and stirring didnt help?

I dont think that would be the reason.
You are freezing and filtering out your plant fats and lipids right?
That is a must otherwise you will have stuff floating.
And as far as stirring, what are you using to stir it? It requires constant fast stirring for 20 minutes at the minimum with heat, I keep the heat as low as I can though so I dont burn off terps.
I'm not sure that stirring it by hand would work.
I use a magnetic stirrer/hot plate.
You can find them on amazon for about $90
I decarbed and made alc tinture with 190 proof grain alc. Kept in freezer for 4 days and brought up to room tempt and started water bath at 180f. When 50% its original level i drained the plant material with 2 level cofee filters. Kept evaping the alc till about 3ml of black goop. Mixed pg and vg about 11/6. Stired with a metal fork for a while with water bath
Today, i mixed it all together again(combining two batches) and just gave it a water bath for like 4 hours tryinf to reduce the pg/vg and hopefully get a more potent juice. Nothing really left and its still seperating. At this point i might make candy out of it at least save it.
I dont have the time to get all that unless the stirer is at walmart or target.
The sludge reminds me of cdb oil i bought once

Can someone drop a RIU link for making e-juice either from flower or rosin. I’ve made canna oil for candy many times. Could you decarb the flower in VG and then vape it? I’m an old dude and all the e-cig stuff is like Latin to me

Since you qualify as an old person I will give you a very simple path if you don't find what you are looking for.
There is a product called wax liquidizer.
It is premixed vape juice designed not to seperate from the oil.
Long story short.
Basic recipe is this.
1g bho etc
2 mil wax liquidizer
Microwave 10 seconds in a shot glass
Stir and use.
If you buy in bulk it gets very inexpensive fast.
It comes with or without flavours.
The recipe can be modified slightly in either direction.

Good thread u got going.
I like 2 diff kinds of oil Black and Gold.
If u have int this is what I do:
1) Blk Oil: 1 oz herb to 20 oz everclear rm temp let it mix ~20 min, drain& strain into lg Pyrex, let it sit in sun (cover with cheese cloth)
for 20 min & alchemy occurs chlorophyll “green is gone”, makes 5.6 Gr Black oil (u can do a 2nd wash if u want, but u have removed 85-90% of oils 1st wash), no I don’t Dewinterize, but u can if u want.
((Dewinterizing removes what some people call undesirables-waxes, lipids, spent chlorophyll,
etc.))
(NO HEAT used until down to 1or2 oz liquid in small 2x2 empty Pinzey spice jar (these little jars r great, & the spices excellent.)
place on coffee warmer until All micro bubbles gone, stir with toothpic!) This oil works just fine mixed 5:2.5 ratio,
I use C- Cell Cartridges (EBay,4-2mm oil feed holes for vaping, make sure 4mm holes).
From past research appears that Blk oil is more of a medicine value- not dewinterized !
2) Gold Oil: (less return, but tastier-also does not most likely have all of the medicine value the Blk oil has)...Same as above, but use 5 lb of Dry Ice in a med size cooler
Prepare herb in glass jar & 20 oz Everclear in separate jar place both inside cooler when temp = minus -45f immediately mix the 2 &
shut cooler up...lightly shake cooler every 4 min., after 20 min done, drain (I use large kitchen strainer 1st to rapidly remove most of the herb & keep non desirables out of the golden liquid, then through unbleached coffee filter)
& strain herb sitting in closed cooler. No not u the herb- ha ha!
Now just evaporate using fan blowing over cheese cloth cover “large” Pyrex dish, finish off like above on coffee warmer.
(Reclaim would be nice, but I only do this-occasionally)

C Cell Cartridge with 4-2 mm oil feed holes the way to go for vaping EBay 2.50–3.5 ea 5 pacs usually.
Also push button 4 volt vape Pin 3 for $18 no ship fee EBay ... just takes some searching DH Gate for bulk buys.
( usually the 4 volt pins have 3 variable voltages & pre-heat, I don’t use preheat I think the 4 volt setting
just fine). I also use Puff Magic as a oil emulsifier-this brand is PG/PEG mix, did not like MCT oil & terps r expensive.
I like 5:2.5 ratio
(Oil to Emulsifier mix).
I could go on & on, this is all new to me as well past year, just got tired of smoke in my lungs. (Vape has really changed the hole dimension.)
Teflon spatulas make best stir sticks & toothpic for stirring oil in Penzey Spice Jar (I save the jars when the wife is done using the spice). Absolute perfect size & thickness.
Put some oil on end of a safety pin & light iT as final check that all alcohol is evaporated u should not see any sizzle just melt...!
vapes well for me- about 45-55 hits per .5 mm C Cell cart. fill (1 oz herb will make enough oil for about 14 fills Blk oil, & 10 with gold oil or more if u want to lower the potency, use plastic syringe when oil is warm to fill)
As mentioned I use the 4 volt vape pin setting. Occasionally clean the draw tube with a pipe cleaner cut to 1 inch, appears the ceramic oil absorption takes in more than can handle-probably why I don’t use preheat function & draw soft when vaping ! Here I go again, occasionally u need to heat your oil c cell cartridge up to get the oil bubbles out & back to the bottom feed holes
lighter -coffee warmer-etc.
A product called Hypnotic Mist Mfg by North West vapors-has outstanding taste, but I seldom use as part of my emulsifier because the gold oil taste great-I believe 10% or less is to be used
per your total Gr Wgt.
