Growing 3 plants worth it?

growing to me is more of an artform than a cost issue.....i dont think you can put a price on growing some cronic buds from the dirt, watching them grow and glisten like they are diamond coated enjoying the sweet smell......thats priceless!

okkkk mann....... no need to get all bent outta shape. I stand by growing just to grow. I belive that people can grow however they want to, and however much. To some people growing might just be a hobby to get enjoyment outta. Ofcoarse there is always a risk, But then again if you doing things right you shouldnt have to worry about it.

Well I am growing 3 plants, started with 4, first time grower. Lucky me 3 of em turned out female, 2 are the same age +- a day or 2 and one is 8 weeks older. In total I have spent about $200-$250 in general supplies to grow. Starting with nothing.

To each his own. I dint start growing to get rich, or to phase out my dealer. Eventually yeah.....Fuck him, but its not what I intended. I started growing because I thought I would enjoy it, and was right. Its a fun hobby that may some day phase out my dealer and get me a little cash on the side, so why not. Even if it is only one

Another outlook:
Penalties are severe for cultivating cannabis, please don't down play that.
Learn your state laws for growing and weigh in the fact you might end up in a prison for something you hardly care for.
busted for owning an oz vs growing an oz, these are two very different charges in my state.
Cannabis is my drug of choice and I use pretty heavy, plus I make a few dollars on the side. For me, it's worth it to grow.After all it's a life style thing, not a hobby. Now, I wouldn't grow coca plants. I might chew a few coca leaves and do some blow, maybe twice a year and in small amounts....nope, not even close is the penalties worth growing coca for me.besides if I did, I wouldn't grow just a few, year round.

For me, the biggest thrill, short of smoking great bud I grew myself, was the look on the faces of my wife and brother in-law when they sampled my 1st grow!! They went from eye rolling "yeah, sure, whatever" to eye glazing "Oh my God!!" Can't put a price on that ego boost!

That being said, joepro and I are not far apart. I started out to grow for my wife and I, 2 maybe 3 plants. I'm into my second grow now, and we no longer have a "guest room". I ran the economics of it and came up with a 10 to 15 plant grow to make it worth MY time and effort. Even tho the risk is minimal to almost nothing, it's a risk nonetheless. I enjoy it, but it's gotta at least pay for itself with a bit leftover.
Joe is right about the difference between possession and cultivation penalties. So IF I do get caught, it will have been worth it. I NEVER minimize the risks. I am hoping to get 15 girls thru harvest. If I can get around 3.5 to 4 lbs I'll be sTOKEd!!

I completely disagree with the logic that growing 3 plants is not worth it.

You can't put a price on quality control and not having to deal with shady dealers.

Unless of course you like getting ripped off and not knowing whats in your weed. Then by all means, support your local dealers.

so what's the diffrence in price then? wouldn't it be quality?
growing three plants,still supports your local rip off, just not as much.

Ripped off by the seed bank, is not unherd of. besides do you really know the gen quality of the seed itself?
what about the $ for the seed? $10 per seed is a huge rip off, but commerical seed banks wouldn't want to hear that.

Is three plants worth a grow?
The simple answer is, NO!
The reasons are meany, not that you shouldn't grow.
Just you shouldn't grow three.

Beisdes think of the future and just how bleak things look.
What better then having mj to trade if the shit hits the fan?

hi people i would have to say it would depend on the size you have to grow in and how often you want to grow and what you want the grow for personal or hooking up your bros.i would not grow 3 plants for 2 oz it would not be worth it and would take so long to pay for itself but if you got the time sweet,i would do it for a LB per plant for sure set up rotation with clones cut out the seed bank.you have to way up the risk V reward factor and if it adds up do it if it dosent dont do it .PEACE

I agree, $10 a seed is a rip off. I will never buy seeds. Just ask some friends for seeds. That's what I did.

3 plants might not be worth it to YOU but it may very well maybe worth it to ME. Everyone smokes different amounts and has different tolerances.

I have to disagree myself. Buying on the streets means possibly getting ripped off, having some stupid shit in your weed, and having to deal with dealers. Prices are also much higher than growing. I don't know why it costs you what, $50/month. You don't need very high power lights to grow only 3 plants, and you don't need as much soil/nutes.

You know you're going to get something good if you take care of your plants well. If you grow you can pick any strain you want, it doesn't matter. There are people out there who don't smoke a lot and don't want to deal with the streets, and there are areas where nothing but shitty weed is going around so the only way to get good weed is to grow it yourself.

To each his own though.

I started with 4, then went up to 7, now i run 30, just put in the hours and the love when you do that you will be rewarded in kind, keep it simple and as easy to manage as possible to you find your feet. its a bug and an art read as much as you can.

Your math is correct. I live about as far from CA as possible and haven't put a plant in sunlight in fifteen years (sadly). But 5.3 oz. OR MORE from a properly trained and grown plant indoors is entirely possible. In a seven-ten gallon pot, with 45-60 days of veg time, each plant can be trained to a flat canopy between six and ten square feet. Add in supercropping and see low plant numbers equal massive harvests. In most states it is just too risky to sog anymore, and we've had to adapt. Some better than others. My last "six to a house" did 1109 g dried/cured. 1109/6=184.84 184.84/28=6.4oz. I didn't believe it possible till I saw it.

yes i would have to agree very possible.i get 20oz -24oz per plant indoors.growing 2-3 plants per time on rotation with a cycle every 10 12 weeks if you need photos for proof you will have to wait 6 weeks or .P.M. me.
