Newb questions, paradise seeds

Okay guys so I don't have any grows under my belt I've been doing lots of research and reading trying to prepare to start my first grow. In the past I've always been more interested in growing fungi but now I want to make a transition to the herb.

So basically I've been trying to figure out what strains I want to run, I'm most interested in stability, I don't care to run the most potent strain, stability is my first priority and then quality.

That being said paradise seeds caught my attention the most above all other breeders. Ive been doing my share of reading about them but there just isn' as much information and reviews about them compared to other breeders.

My question is Why? Is there something I'm missing? I haven' found hardly any negative reviews on paradise the few reviews I have managed to find are all fairly positive but there's just not much out there. I'm hoping you guys could share with me experiences with paradise or maybe point me in the right direction of greatly appreciate it.

Also I'm located in the US so I'm aware I cannot order from paradise I have to find a middle man. So what seed bank sells the most paradise items? The reason I ask that is I don' want to purchase from a bank that doesn' sell alot of paradise seeds so when I order I'm ordering seeds that have been sitting for many months or years and order old seeds I want top quality fresh seeds. I' also not against checking out other breeders so if you guys and ladies list some breeders know for their stability I will definantly check them out. Thanks in advance everyone!

If you want to avoid herms and make stability your priority, your focus should really be on your build out more than the seeds, whether it is a closet or a whole room. Majority of times herms are a result of grower error and stress...i.e. high temps, crazy temp swings, feeding too strong, light leaks, etc.

Personally I'd skip the paradise seeds and go with someone very reputable like Karma Genetics...or a US breeder like Bodhi.

Both of the above suggestions are good and I would tell you to check out peakseedsbc if you want stability. He only has a handful of strains and they are as solid as it gets. Plus $40 per 10 pack is also a great price.

I definantly understand the importance of my set and will be very thorough when it comes to my equipment and style. What I mean by stability, I want to find strains that don't have a ton of variation . I will be growing from seed, and the first couple grows I won' be searching for a mother plant. At least not untill I get a few grows under my belt and have room to add another tent. So in the mean time I will be growing out feminized seeds. I have looked and researched bodhi and I didn' see any thing that really caught my interest. I'm pretty set on paradise due to the stability on their feminized seeds. And the fact they have a pretty impressive history. Really I just want to see of anyone has any good reasons not to order from them specifically. However I definantly appreciate your suggestions and will keep them in mind for my second grow

Oh and to also help understand. I'm Into the old school strains. Like strains from the 90s and early 2000s which is another reason paradise has caught my attention so strongly. I'm more looking for established strains, strains with many many years of perfecting. Paradise sensi star will probably be my first grow along with their white berry and probably their skunk as well, unless I find a breeder that offers a original skunk a true skunk.

Nothing wrong with any of the breeders mentioned here. Paradise have been at it for a long time. I wouldn't class karma anymore stable than paradise. They are just European where as most members here are from the state's or Canada hence American & Canadian breeders being recommended here. They are all good, just depends which strains you fancy really. Paradise haven't put out th st many new strains over the year's so they don't get a huge amount of attention online but they are still going.

I dont think any of today's cannabis breeders are really creating stable, true breeding, uniform lines. If you haven't found much grow reports on Paradise, how do you really know that their fem seeds will be uniform and stable?

Mike J at peakseedsbc is definitely working stable strains.

I honestly doubt paradise's lines are anywhere near as stable and worked as Mike J's, he only has a few strains and has been working them for decades.

And he only has strains from the 90s for the most part. Blueberry, skunk and northern lights are his staples. So if OP is really looking for stable genetics that are IBL then peakseedsbc is literally the only breeder I can honestly suggest.

Paradise has a fair share of grow reports, but all reports I found are many years old and there isn' much that' recent. There are some to be found with some digging just not as frequent as others. It does make sense though that their not getting much attention because they arnt falling into the hype and spitting out all kinds of strains every day. Which I honestly think that's a good thing. I don' want seeds from breeders just throwing out strains all the time. Again I'm not pheno hunting right yet I'm growing out from seeds(feminized) for a couple grows.

There are actually fair few Paradise seeds grow reports around. I don't know what search phrases you are using but usually something along the line of ' breeder name, strain name, grow' hit enter & you should find a lot of grow logs & reports.

Also, if you haven’t already, have a look at Seedfinder.eu. Vast resource that has info about more breeders, strains than you can count plus it has reviews by people who have actually grown out those strains. It's one of the best cannabis enthusiasts’ tools you’ll ever find.

P.s. there are a lot of breeders who have their work marketed on forums like this by having well known members talk them up as being the best breeder with the best strains etc etc. I’m not suggesting anyone on this thread is or isn’t doing that but be aware. Its becoming more common practice for interest to drummed up on forums.

Awesome thanks for the pointer, I haven't been to seedfinder yet I'll definantly get on there, sounds like exactly what I've been looking for.
And I know exactly what your talking about as far as certain breeders being talked up on certain forums totally see it alot recently I'm also not suggesting that anyone here is doing such a thing but I gotta agree with you. Honestly after reading your comment I feel alot more comfortable going with paradise. Now I just wann try to figure out who to get paradise seeds from b.c they don' ship to U.S. hopefully I can find one that has actually fresh paradise seeds. Thanks for your help brotha much appreciated!

No worries. As far as I am aware all the breeders mentioned in this thread have a good rep so you’ll probably be fine either way. There is always the chance of being unlucky & getting a runt but that is the case with any seed you pop. Good luck with what ever you choose.

I want to know how they make stable fem seeds without first working a regular line to stability.

Crossing clones of the same female repeatedly isn't going to increase stability.

Do they cross the original mother to the next generation fem that is closest to mom?
It could breed stability or just bottle-neck the strain, I'm no breeder:shock:

Thanks buddy. With everyone' help and input I'm pretty comfortable with going with paradise seeds, they have a few strains that really interest me there's about 5 i want to try but I'll probably play it safe and narrow it down to one or two strains for my first run. I don't think running more than 2 diff strains my first go around will be a good idea. Still unsure what bank I'll get them from, I want to go with the bank that sells the freshest paradise seeds I don't want to buy a pack that' been sitting on their stock for a long time.
