If you want a good product.
Don't buy anything until you read,
Marijuana Horticulture,
The indoor/outdoor medical growers bible.

Out of all the marijuana books I've read, this by far has the most information packed into one book.

Growing spectacular weed takes research and practice.
You can have the best grow room, light, nutrient, etc. etc.
But if you don't know what your doing and why your doing it, then your just wasting your time and money.

Serously dude....Do some reading. You learn actual facts than actual opinions.
This site is a good reference guide, but you'll learn more with a good book.

That would depend on your application i.e how large or small you want them to be. That would then define how many plants you could put under a hid. You also have to account your actual space of the room(s) you are growing in. In my opinion 600 watts are the most efficient hid out there. They take less juice and they put out alot of lumens and you can drop them closer to your canopy especially if they are air cooled. This is an idea how much I spend monthly on electricity. Two t-12 fluorescents @ 18 hours, 1 400 MH @ 18 hrs, 2 600 HPS for 12 hours, 1 exhaust attached to carbon filter for 12 hours, 1 intake for 12 hours, 3 fans going at around 12 hours, a humidifier for 6 hours, a dehumidifier for 12 hours. I live in northern California and my bill is $ 150/month. And yes you could make phenomenol weed with a 400. Heck if I had the funds I would have three 400's in my flower room as opposed to 2 600's.
