Man I tried and tried to get a job in cultivation, I have 20 years experience growing and It would be a dream job..Howd you get hired on if you dont mind me asking??

I didn’t receive an email when I was approved. I happened to call the day I was approved and they told me. I’m not sure how some people get emails
This is incredibly helpful. I had my appointment on 6/5 and mailed all paperwork the same day so I’m hoping not to be far behind. Much appreciated and thank you. I was hoping by late August but early September may be more realistic. Thanks for the knowledge.
Just applied on Indeed and on the companies website. I was an electrician. In the interview they asked me a lot of electrical questions so I think that helped me out. (since they use lights to grow I can work on them if need be.)
I just stayed on top of all the job postings. I didn't set out to be a grower. I either wanted to grow or work in a dispensary. I recommend just applying to anything and everything. And don't be afraid to write a cover letter explaining your "Passion for Cannabis".
1. Apply to every new job post everyday. On job boards and the companies actual website if they have one.
2. Write a professional cover letter pertaining to each specific job you are applying for. Explain why you want to work in the industry.
3. Wait and hope for a call.
Illinois passed Senate Bill 336 that will allow anyone with an opioid prescription to walk in a dispensary show their opioid prescription and get medical cannabis that same day. The bill is on Governor Rauner's desk right now. If or when he signs it There will be massive hiring in the industry in Illinois. So just stay on top of it man. I'm sure you can get a job if you have that much experience.

I'm not sure if i can say atm. I haven't started yet. I start next week. I know that on my first day I have to sign a confidentiality agreement and I'm not sure how strict it is. Its down about an hour from Springfield tho. I can say that.
Your in the right part of the state. I'm down in central Illinois so there aren't as many options for me. I was going to move up North if I had to, but luckily this job came through. I had phone interviews with Pharmacann in Hillcrest and Cresco Labs in Joliet before I got offered this job and never heard back from them. Here is a list of cultivation companies in Illinois. I'm new to the group and wanted to provide my timeline. I went to MCO on May 10th. I've been patiently waiting and decided to contact IDPH by email today and received this reply:
Thank you for your email. Your patient registry identification card has been approved and sent for printing. You should receive it in approximately 10 to 14 days.
