Kind LED

Johnny without you I feel like this forum wouldnt be the same lol. You almost always make me smile.

I have very small experience but from all the time spent reading everything everywhere (mostly here ok..) I dont get why someone would buy King Led over Timber products, unless you are rich and curious about what a light could do. If there wasn't Timber I would have never gone for LEDs, would be too much expansive for me.

i have heard alot of these led advertiser will use hps then chuck the led in for pics and go wow look how good my leds work
the old saying goes believe none of what you hear & half of what you see. the video is just a regular grower doing a side by side comparison of 3 different lights , those people saying that are probably jealous bitch boys who are too cheap or poor to afford a Kind unlike this dudes

Regardless of what you wanna say about kind to make them look so great, they're 12 year old epistar led diodes and have t changed that since day one. Sure they grow weed. But there are other LEDs that do it much better.

He's using the same nutes, same strain , same grower, the only thing that is different is the lighting & the results look at the numbers
You'd need different nutes for that 1000W HPS though. Very different climate plus a lot of radiated heat on the plants. How on earth can you feed that from the same reservoir as those led grown plants?

Besides, a 1000W Gavita really needs a 5'x5' tent. In a 4'x4' you lose a huge amount of light on the walls. In a 4x4 a 750W Gavita DE Pro would be a much better fit and produce a similar amount as those led lights do.

sk600.. $1200+.. pulls 640w at the plug.. final weight 267 g = .42 g/w
xl1000.. $1200+.. pulls 650w at the plug... final weight 270 g = .42 g/w

$2500 worth of light... 1300w.. 537g

great lamps
I'm no fan of these ridiculously overpriced and poorly designed units, but to be fair, a yield that low really isn't the fault of the lights...

I have a 450, a 750, and a 1000.

They have done me good.

I have the 1000 in my 2x3 cab; the 750 and 450 in my 3x3.

Beyond what they have done for my grows, i like the timer/scheduler and the ability to dim blue, red, white wavelengths individually.

What i don’t like is: i can’t get closer than 22”, in either case above, without bleaching the shit out of my tops.

My yields are great, the cola tips just look like shit.

So i just got two Timber 48sams for a 4x4 flowering tent, you can see ppfd mapping of it here https://www.rollitup.org/t/just-bought-my-model-48sams-from-timber-cant-wait-to-join-the-big-boys.971377/ but i digress.

Here’s what kind lights can do for a competent grower:

7/21/18 - 1st of two white widows from 3x3:

That’s 211g -dry- lookin at you.

The left one was 201g. Not fuckin shabby for any light!

Today i started harvesting two C99’s that did all veg and 8 of 10 weeks flowering under Kinds:

This is what the looked like in week 8:

I expect similar results as the widows.

These results are typical of my experience with kinds.

I'm intrigued at how well you got those lollipopped.
They started out as mainlines, all “lollipopped” laterals were removed, per nugbuckets style, leaving 3 nodes/main prior to 12:12.

Widows didn’t stretch enough, so i bent the mains and brought bottom laterals to top. Tips of mains started growing faster, so to keep top flat i swirled mains around perimeter. I call them swirled screenless scroglines.

C99s started out as mainlines, too. But, they’re so friggin bushy i just has to let them do their own thang. Just tied down tops that wanted to climb faster than others, to keep top flat. These are just plain ole screenless scroglines.

Big pipes, flat top, lotsa light...
