I've grown a few in pots, but it's mostly in the ground. I do notice the ones in pots don't have all the fert stealing roots from surrounding trees like in ground does.

I've just got to work on my timing. I plant a few every month, and the last two rounds are kicking ass. They love the rain. Just now starting to flower. I guess I'll just have to plant later.

Niccce good to hear. That's the best part of growing to me. Always can find a different way to get her done. I love the free root grow to the point i dug a 12'w×20'l× 32" deep hole. Separated the soils added drainage and rebuilt soil with amenities. That took a while. Did it for 2 reasons. Cannatree and to ensure my wife's suspicions of my mental state

Mold lives in the dirt and enters thru any damage the plant has. Plant carries it like a virus. Mold waits for perfect conditions to attack. If you have it one year and don't sterilize the soil it will be waiting. My guess is your doing an excellent job of keeping it at bay. The bacteria also lives other places not just soil but that is its base. Stagnant water, decomposing plant materials, can even go airborne. Once its in your garden you will have to nuke the soil or get good at kicking its ass.

I know plants love it. My point being is I have noticed that people who do foliar feedings (and your spray have to be on the acidic side for the plant to absorb the nutes) are more likely to get rot or pm.
Because just like you said the conditions have to be right for it to grow. 2 main factors are a cold ACIDIC enviroment.

Hence the fact that I have been spraying a lot with silica because of the high alkaline ph of it. So not only am I feeding my plants but I just changed the leaf ph to make it a place where mildew and mold can not grow.

Like I said It's just a theory about the feedings and mold issues. Just couldn't figure out why I don't get it like everyone else and the only thing I do differently other then this yr is I have never sprayed anything.

thing about serenade u have to spray in evening sun light kills the bennies in it,useless to spray in the sun

lol what don't like the smell of dirty ass!! do a little research any one spraying in full sun is wasting there money but I agree it wont hurt the plant

I have read about this. Not much of a foliage feeder and it was awhile ago so having trouble with the details. Absolutely right tho, destroy its environment and it goes too. Really squeamish about screwing with the Ph but it can be done in some way that won't cause lockout. Anyway no holds barred when your battling mold.

Alkaline spray at night in high humidity would make sense. Wouldn't want to get too much on roots obviously.

Depending on what your feeding them you may want to flush N and feed P and K. Phosphorus for disease prevention and potassium for fat buds. I use Roots Og liquid fert and started flower feeding a week early.

Per usual...you were correct!!

They have moved from aggressive to EXPLOSIVE growth after giving them only P and K. They really loved it. Saw like 4 inches of growth in the few days after. The roots obviously found their way and have settled in.

Thanks again for all the advice. Cant wait to see what kind of buds these things get. This is the first time doing them in the ground the right way and the first time topping and pruning in veg.

So pumped to see what comes next...

My biggest grew 2' in 8 days. Truly no other plant like it. Amazing to watch them this time of year.
