Bluelab Multimedia PH Probe....

After much deliberation, I finally invested in a BlueLab meter. I ended up going with the Multimedia setup. Its was listed on BluLabs website as a new item, had very minimal(nothing negative) reviews elsewhere on the interwebs…. Anybody else have one of these? Im sorta curious about the lifespan of these types of probes, in comparison to the traditional Soil probe, and or solution probe. I had no previous experience with a quality PH meter.

I used to own one til I broke it ffs.
I use soil now so don't bother with pHing so I just use the bluelabs ec truncheon.
Great piece of equipment.

I have the Bluelab pH pen. Probably the best ph pen I've bought. A little expensive but the quality is worth the price. It's very well built. The issue I have is that the probe is not replaceable in the unit I have.

Bluelab has the quality and accuracy for us hobbyists, i recomend it.

You do mot need to use any ph for soil, its a solid and already set

I post as well for newer growers or those considering adding equipment. Blue is great but pay extra for a name.

Im sorta curious about the lifespan of these types of probes, in comparison to the traditional Soil probe, and or solution probe.

I can't answer about the lifespan of that type of probe, but proper care seems to be the secret. Don't let it dry out and keep it in storage solution! From what I've read, good probes (for liquids) last one to several years. You'll just have to come back and give us a review after you've had it a while.

I bought a quality meter after getting fed up with a Milwaukee PH600 and a POS Hanna checker! I paid around $115 for a Milwaukee MW102PH, and it's been perfect so far. It read .04 points high when new and hasn't changed in the few weeks I've had it, never bothered to re calibrate.

It's been out a while and found some great reviews and info. The brewers are serious about ph meters and some of the posters were chemists.

Oh I definitely had Hanna on the top of the list, I dug for months before pulling the trigger. Really the only reason I got the bluelab in the end was I found a fantastic Ebay deal, too good to pass up.
A bit intrigued as well by this new "Leap" probe....one probe for all my needs.

I forget the basics but any shit probe should work fine as its the unit not the probe which determines accuracy.

After running a bluelab my only complaint is that the probe dries quick in that small cap meaning it needs filling every couple months when not in ise.

A more exspensive one has longer term storage generally as bigger storage for the probe.

They work. Should last ok....CAREing for it is going to be the key!

The company I worked for, before retiring....Used a mix of meters....One of the labs had an issue..
The company recalled all BlueLab equipment and went to nothing but Hannah....
I have to say. Once you get up to the $250+ level of spending on a lab quality meter.....Hannah rules the labs and farms....

I have owned blue lab and Hanna and both preformed flawless. I would buy one or the other and not regret my decision one bit. Until I have reason to not like one or the other I'll buy what's on sale lol... unless a new model came out and I may check that out. My current blue lab has worked great for the 2 years of use so far. I expect when I get set up again soon it will continue.

I had no doubt Blulab was quality, what I was ignorant on was this new "Leap" probe, which is universal, for all media, and solution testing. I really like it, was just curious about the longevity!
