Opinions Needed - Bigger or More??

Greetings from the Dark Side darlings,

May we have a vote please? About to do a system shift for our new crop..

Alien OG Kush Auto Indoors -

We are running 22 x 8.5 litre pots and have the option of switching to 16 litre pots.
But... space is an issue.

We could get 22 growing (clones from our current crop have taken beautifully) or opt to reduce the plants to HOPEFULLY achieve bigger happier plants and a better yield.
Indoors, the Aliens only achieve about 90cm max in height as a rule, we have been told. So is it worth it?

What advice? More plants better? Not sure if a bigger pot would result in a bigger yield to compensate? Especially with this particular strain...

Wow, tough choices to have...:bigjoint:

Not that I have ANY experience with commercial type production, but if what I was trying to maximize was flower I'd have to use a SOG style operation. Lots of little plants, short veg and essentially a single cola. Bigger pots generally produce larger plants but you have to invest much longer growth to get the same footprint.

I'm highly skeptical of this "60 cm rule"
I've never had a plant that grew so small given adequate dirt and light. With the possible exception of sour bubble, but even that was able to get bigger it was just slow to do it.
