Another way of saying that dimming decreases efficiency.Increasing power output increases efficiency.

I'm building out my room for flower and I've come to a standstill with choosing the correct light for my build. my space is a 18' x 16' sealed/insulted room with an a/c unit and dehu to control the environment as best as possible. My ceiling height is 7'8". I would most likely be implementing 4x4.With the being said, I was originally planning on running Hps 1000w under adjustawings with a galaxy commercial ballast. As I spoke with the Hydro store sale guy, he was telling me about the Sun System 315w system. Swearing by it! Mentioning how they are energy efficient but have a higher up front cost. Something I really worried about was my ceiling height and if that played a factor in getting HPS vs. 315/630w
I spoke to a friend running the Nanolux 630w system using dual Phillips bulbs. He loved them. I'm really trying to wrap my mind around my options and would really appreciate everyones input! I appreciate your help in advanced!
I got a killer quote on the nanolux 315. All in with Phillips lights and RTU they were $315 out the door (crazy coincidence on the price haha). Even so you would still say the 1000w would make me happier? The 1.3amp draw from each fixture on 240v got me feeling some type of way...View attachment 4185068 View attachment 4185069 View attachment 4185070 View attachment 4185071 Sunsystem 315 is way to expensive and if you were considering a 1000w you will be very disapointed with a 316. Love my 630 de. Running it with the de adjustawing. Fyi the nanolux 1000w cmh is out and i want it bad but my 630 is only 1.5 years old and the wife would kill me. Heres a few pics of the 630de cmh in the adjust a wing using Mega Crop. 23 days in. My 4.5 ft twnt as of last night
Thank G! Do you believe people being able to produce 1-1.5 lbs per 315 fixture? I’ve read it on the forum here and didn’t know of it were true or far-fetched. I could eventually run up to 21 315s in my room and not even come close to my maximum amperage in my flower.Phillips DE (Double Ended)1000W
Because you can in a fully controlable room.
They produce heat and weed and both they produce way more than any single end bulb I know.
If you can control the heat you are the lucky guy!
Some here on RIU run those lights...check back with them for numbers.
Hope that helps!
Peace
A Grow buddy of mine from here (RIU) pulled 1.7g/Watt from a testgrow of multiple strains with that DE1000.I got a killer quote on the nanolux 315.
