Whats up everybody Im back for my 2nd grow the 1st was very succesful but I took a couple months off and now am ready to go again. A couple things Id like to do differently this time such as a really good exhaust fan/air scrubber, Im 50/50 on CO2, and a new site to buy seeds(i live in the US so shipping here is a must). Also with the absolute shit economy and the ever increasing cost of utilities what are you guys doing to reduce your energy consumption and costs? Is the LED tech good enough yet to use dependebly or is it still MH/HPS? Im looking to d a large scale(to me anyway) grow minimum of 20-25 plants, I want some potent strong stuff but dont want to lose in my final yields because of it. Any suggestions? Last grow was GHS Lemon Skunk great final product fairly easy to grow but the yields were so so, now I know a lot of people are gonna say add some sort of CO2 and those so so yields will increase to great yields. But it also has a lot to do with plant genetics. Well thats it, it feels god to be back Im siked like a little kid at Christmas time, Ill keep ya updated as my endeavor progresses any info would be great always good to hear what other people are doing. LED light fixtures are kinda like virgins. You hear and hear and hear about them, but few have actually seen one. HID is still the norm. Digital ballasts are the hip new thing now. If you want potency and dense bud, go with a white widow strain. good compromise.

CO-2 isn't a magic bomb that just takes in everything "normal" and gives you back a 50% increase in buds. CO-2 just allows the plant to matabolize faster! That means it needs more water and more nutes and , yes, even more light! It's like when you put your foot down on the gas pedal, sure, you go faster but your "miles per gallon" suffer because it takes increased amounts of fuel to go faster.

The bottom line is - LED's are still in the experimental phase with cannabis. At this point it is debatable whether they put out enough light, let alone extra light to power photosynthesis under the influence of CO-2!
